John-Paul Bove AKA the wordmonger(er)

With just over a week to go, here's my prices for colours at @tfnationltd.bsky.social! If you have an order in with @jlawrenceart.bsky.social @nickroche.bsky.social @andrewwildman.art @marcelomatere.bsky.social @edpirrie.bsky.social or @markerguru.bsky.social & want it coloured then let me know!

There are two types of people; People defending Reform's behaviour in the documentary and people who actually watched the documentary.

Also lookee what arrived today. An absolute brick of Transformers goodness including the coloured UK material I worked on that most people in the US had never seen. Thanks to the folks at @skybound.bsky.social for this, make sure you all pick up yours fellow Transformers nerds! #transformers

Hear me out. Missing link Powermaster Prime with articulation and all the gimmicks he was originally supposed to have like being a Headmaster and a Targetmaster... Hasbro, make it happen and please, I beg you, let me work on the box art? Much love, Your loyal servant, John-Paul

It arrived!!! Drawn my @nickroche.bsky.social and coloured by @wordmonger.bsky.social

@royalalberthall.bsky.social What an absolute mess of a booking system for the Zelda Concert. Was online from the first second and 2 and a half hours of waiting for absolutely nothing. Have attended every Zelda concert at previous locations and never had this experience. A massive let down.

If Engame Encore doesn't end with the clanging at the very end of the credits being revealed to be Doom hammering out his mask then it will have been the biggest missed opportunity of all time.

After a very long and uncertain day I am sat in a 4DX theatre waiting to watch Transformers: The Movie for the first time on the big screen. Surrounded by TF fans but no-one I recognise yet! #transformers #tftm

Honoured to own this sketch of Sideswipe drawn at @tfnationltd.bsky.social by the legendary @geoffsenior4-06.bsky.social and expertly coloured in Marvel style by @wordmonger.bsky.social

Hey beautiful people! If you have a commission outstanding they are now complete and on their way! Some have already arrived. Thanks for your patience, it's a challenging time!

I'm very excited about this! Cowboy Koala, book one of my new three book series, will be out in January 2027! It's a weird west adventure with a whole host of funny characters and critters! Pre-ordering through Waterstones in October will also get you an exclusive sticker sheet!

TWO Megatrons?! The past meets the slightly-more-recent-past in this commission showing G1 Toy Megs greets his More Than Meets The Eye counterpart!

Silo is absolutely rocking it. No vitamin D plus for me! #silo

Can we all agree that the theme tune to Angel is an absolute belter?

Hey all, if you are waiting on a commission from TFNation, we are currently dealing with a family health emergency and I have not been able to get them done just yet. I will update as soon as I can, but I have not forgotten I promise. X

Shout out to the amazing @wordmonger.bsky.social for coloring the comms from @nickroche.bsky.social , @jlawrenceart.bsky.social , & Ed Pirrie! Can't wait to add Megs and Arcee to Lil Tailgate's nursery. Lukas will be adding Brainstorm/Nautica to his office!

Thank you @wordmonger.bsky.social for coloring some of our older comms, especially the ones from @caseywcoller.bsky.social !! Everything turned out beautifully! Finally shout-out to @chrismcfeely.bsky.social ! We felt so welcomed from you, and Tailgate had a great time hanging out w/ you!

My wife @jessbradley.bsky.social has a new book out in January, the first in a series of graphic novels that she has written and illustrated! And it has a trailer you can enjoy here: www.instagram.com/reel/DcLdKWR... Please share far and wide!

And the reshuffle also meant that the Deep Space 9 shelf could get a refresh and a rejig! I already have no idea what I am going to put them when O'Brien, Worf and a Dax or 2 report for duty... Not to mention a possible Martok, Weyoun and Dukat... #startrek #ds9 #sisko

Got a display case to move my Optimus (and guests) collection into and maintain them without the need for dusting! #transformers #optimusprime

newly started book ft. @wordmonger.bsky.social's incredible bookmark!!!

TFN art wot I got! @nickroche.bsky.social did this Kup & Cliffjumper two-hander at the Mini-Con last November, and this year @wordmonger.bsky.social slapped some gorgeous colours on em! And masterchef @rbillustrations.bsky.social cooked up a mean SG Hot Rod for me!

So. Freaking. Cool. Well done lads.

#Rodimus #Getaway My other commission drawn by @nickroche.bsky.social and coloured by @wordmonger.bsky.social Thank you both for doing this amazing piece🙏🙏

Remember these words, for they will keep you safe: "If it glistens, look, and listens"

Am I the first to be asked to draw this guy?

Hello there #tfn2026 folk! Are we ready for another round?

For the 10th anniversary of @tfnationltd.bsky.social I had the excellent @wordmonger.bsky.social colour this fantastic Impactor @keizama.bsky.social did me back in 2018. This was the 1st art piece I ever commissioned and feels so much to me and so happy to finally see it coloured!

The amount of soppy grins all round at the TFNation Vince DiCola show. Hearing the Transformers Movie Score (and Rocky IV!) sitting with James Roberts, Jack Lawrence and JP Bove, and surrounded by friends. Can't believe I got to experience it.

On the road to @TFNation, like Christmas, but with toy robots. (So, Christmas.) I've got a new artbook to debut! ARTOBOT 2! I, uh, have left home without any sample images of the interior, BUT it's 84 pages of fighty, frighty and funny Transformers artwork. Printed by @comicprintinguk.bsky.social!

Anyone going to TFN looking for any of these? The Transformers IDW collection phase 2 vols 8 and 13, phase 3 volume 3 and IDW 2.0 volume 3. I need to know by 11am tomorrow (UK time) to be able to pack them up! Prices seem to be bonkers on these so make me an offer!

My stickers for The Forge this weekend at #TFNation!

So something new and Transformers related that I worked on will be announced and made available at @tfnationltd.bsky.social at the weekend! Every time I think I'm out they get me to go back with literally no struggle whatsoever.

If anyone going to @tfnationltd.bsky.social hasn't already picked up the latest book by @jessbradley.bsky.social I will have 5 copies with me all signed by Jess and with a robot illustration inside too! They are 10 pounds and I'll even throw in one of my new bookmarks to keep your place with!

So Rodimus is done! And I added Galvatron to the mix. He never *bore* the matrix but he did *wear* the matrix Flava Flav style. Only had time to make 1 of Galvatron though!

Coming to a @tfnationltd.bsky.social near you this weekend! Making a Rodimus to go with them. Only one of each exists, but I have a very narrow window of time today and tomorrow to make a couple more if there is interest! Hit me up!

Rewatching Buffy for the first time since Nicholas Brendon, Anthony Steward Head & Michelle Trachtenberg have passed. In my convention going I once spent an evening hanging out with Nicholas and also got to have a lovely chat with Tony. It feels strange knowing they are gone.

Lots of arty goodness up for grabs this weekend at @tfnationltd.bsky.social featuring my art and collaborations with @edpirrie.bsky.social @caseywcoller.bsky.social and many other talented folk! Can't wait to see you there! #transformers #tfnation

The price discrepancy between the US Maximals 7 pack and the UK Pulse version is absolutely off the charts unjustifiable. It really does take the piss I'm afraid.

I was in this Sainsburys! I can indeed confirm that they sold bread! (Also buy Squid Bits, it is awesome!)

Not Transformers related but a lot of people have been asking about the Star Trek posters I'd worked on and I will definitely be bringing them along with me to TFNation this time! #STW #Enterprise #TNG #EnterpriseD #FirstContact #EnterpriseE and #DS9 #Defiant all representing!

A repost for the "not up at 1am" crowd!

How can you have more money than literally anyone else on earth and still be so sad.

Haven't watched any of the World Cup, but think I will start today. Have I missed anything?

Pirrie artwork spotted in the wild! Poster @wordmonger.bsky.social and I worked on displayed at Derby bus station, nice and big! I should try and go over on a day off and see it in person.

Thanks to everyone who has reached out for a colour commission. I've already started on the ones I have the linework for. If you're getting artwork from any of the guests @tfnationltd.bsky.social let me know & you could get it coloured like these by @nickroche.bsky.social & @edpirrie.bsky.social

Join Kris Carter on Friday at #TFNat10n as he explores how Transformers cartoons have been animated (yes, including THAT Animated!) over the life of the franchise. tfnation.com/2026 #TFNation #Transformers

I assume England won because some t**t is setting off fireworks.
