Two security researchers shipped me a pink plastic kid's smartwatch from Amazon. When I wore it, they tracked my movements, surreptitiously took photos of me, even listened to my conversations. The same backend they hacked is used by 30+ watch brands for kids. 🧵👇 www.wired.com/story/hacker...

A TIMELESS STORY Americans: I’m mildly worried about communists/immigrants. Chuds: vote for us, we’ll take care of it! Americans: great! Just don’t overreact OK? Chuds: sure thing! [massive overreaction, violence, McCarthy/Miller] Americans: I’m mildly worried about the overreaction AND SCENE

Poland, Romania or back to America? U.S. lawmakers are raising concerns about the Pentagon's plan to pull 5,000 troops from Germany, with options for relocating the brigade limited. From Stars and Stripes' John Vandiver:

So are we going to talk about how introverted/Incel/on-spectrum male tech lords are creating a world of robots, AI companions, and chatbots to add to current reality of shallow online “community“, Amazon shopping & contactless delivery? Can we have some women create stuff, please?

Capitalists: "Don’t worry about massive layoffs, new companies will create new jobs. That’s how capitalism works!" Also capitalists: "OMFG we have to bailout these mismanaged companies, or we’ll have massive job losses!" Wait, how does capitalism work again?
