lol had an emotional breakdown bc i realized i’m never gonna be able to turn off how sensitive i am to the world around me and that more people are defaulting to apathy/cruelty than ever & it’s only gonna get worse before it gets better. it kinda makes me wanna [redacted] but… we move.

it’s like everybody wants to be better than someone, keeps comparing themselves, keeps subjugating someone just to feel a sense of superiority, wants to act like they’ve never made a mistake or unlearned something, is threatened by well-intentioned ppl trying their best, can’t apply nuance.

thoroughly surprised at the lack of pushback i’m receiving for my recent posts lol i fully expected (& lowkey wanted) my viewpoints to be challenged/interrogated but it’s crickets. maybe echo chambers are good.

i say this as someone (a black queer person in the south) that continues to challenge their own biases by reading/engaging with abolitionist theory. the foundation of my politics is the hope/belief that biases can be unlearned if effort is put into wanting to change for the better.
