What’s the message here? You usually charge to upgrade on top of the monthly cost? “Congratulations! You're eligible for a free upgrade Upgrade to the Amazon Music Unlimited Family Plan at no additional cost for 2 months when you switch from your current subscription.”

Tidied up the office over the weekend and put all my unopened sketchbooks and empty pads into one place. Now realising I’ll probably be in the grave long before most of these will even have the shrink wrap removed!

Becoming increasingly convinced that whoever is currently directing NHS policy has an agenda aimed at facilitating collapse. Local GPs are now outsourced but to hubs that don’t have access to our records. This means follow through on treatment has a lot of roadblocks and is pointless.

That’s not something you instigate in the name of efficiency and sustainability, quite the opposite since it introduces delays and chaos as you get a different person each time that’s starting from scratch with you, relying on you to give a detailed medical history - including test results.

It’s been a weird weekend. Had a medical test on Thursday that required sedation. Turns out the sedation causes amnesia, which is fine as I don’t remember the procedure. What I didn’t know is it stays in your body for up to 48 hours and gets released in waves.

So I had a weekend of missing time. Blocks that I have no memory of and a brain fog that was horrible. It’s not great when you suddenly realise that you did or said something that day and have no memory of it. Even watching TV was disorienting. Being outside was marginally better.

Taking out the rubbish out tonight and there’s an enormous spider right at face height dangling from a web in front of the door. Only saw it last moment because the light glinted off it. Had I walked into it I would have needed decades of therapy. 😱

Two days after my birthday this year I have two endoscopic examinations on the same day. Not exactly the birthday present I imagined. I really hope it’s two different cameras and they get the order correct🤪

While on holiday in DisneyWorld Florida we book a last minute lunch in Japan pavilion of Epcot. It’s one where the food is cooked in front of you and you’re seated next to random people on a table that fits about 12. They seat me next to this person and we start chatting.

He asks me where I work and I say “PlayStation” and he replies “no way, I work for Xbox!” Turns out he’s the CTO of XBox, he works directly with Asha. What are the odds that in this restaurant full of tables with spaces that they seat me next to the CTO of XBox? My mind is still blown.

Really enjoying the current season of Strange New Worlds. Watched the latest episode on the flight back from Florida and couldn’t help laughing out loud at the Spock scenes 😂

There are two headlines on the BBC news website currently that are AI related. The first is how the top three AI models went rogue and hacked other companies. The second is how AI designed and manufactured a brand new biological virus. This is fine, nothing could possibly go wrong.

Currently in Florida where every day has started off really hot, then there’s a thunderstorm for an hour then it’s hot again, but humid due to the rain. It’s like nature is oven roasting us, followed by basting for flavour and then finishing cooking us by steam.

Amazing how vastly different the warnings at the beginning of a showing in the Cinema is between UK and US. In the UK it’s don’t let your kid play under the seats. In the US it’s what to do if a gunman starts shooting people during the film.

Just waited 20 mins on a queue for customer services, going down from 5 people before me to finally getting through, and what was waiting at the end? “Leave a message after the tone” 🤷🏼

Hired Jamie for one of my games in the past and he was great. Highly recommend him!

Been a really crap few days. Got out of the doctors today where they told me they are testing me for cancer. Head to Nandos where Susan is smashed over the head with a bottle a crazy woman using to attack another family with. She’s fine (she says) - but this in top of what happened in Friday… 🤷🏼

This time I did react and attempted to stop the crazy woman and get her on the floor. The staff, the family she was attacking and others in the restaurant came up to me to thank me for stopping her. I was worried what I did could be considered assault but the police assured me it was self defence.

Dammit. The scenes of this evening keep playing in my head when I try to sleep. I imagine myself reacting faster, realising what’s happening and jumping in to save them. Reality is I would probably be in hospital with them.
