I feel like I need to air something out, something I've probably said before but it's starting to ring even more true I think for the considerable future, I'm no longer going to be doing "new" collabs on stream. There are reasons behind this, as well as conditions written below

I don't really think I can focus on doing a lot of these if I have to worry about collabs most of the time, but if my schedule ever really opens up, I can probably come back to this and start doing even more collabs again

Until then, I appreciate all of my friends, content creators or not, I'm happy to keep talking with all of you or even casually doing stuff together I'll still be here doing what I can when I can, and I hope to still be able to keep things going!

6. To continue off 5, if nothing is being recorded or streamed, as in a casual hangout just playing games or watching stuff, those will ALWAYS be considered! This isn't to cut ties with any friends or from making new ones, this is just because I don't trust my future schedule

Now, something else I want to note is that I said "considerable future", meaning this can always be overturned, but for the time being, this is how I feel. I want to work on more things solo, beating games I never have, doing more challenges, etc.

4. Certain games, such as an Archipelago Randomizer for example, I'll always be open for as those can be played at any time, at my own pace. So I'm not too against playing these more. Basic randomizers are also likely, if they won't take too long

5. In cases where I won't be streaming, but others will be, I'm more likely to show up. Mostly as if it's something I can do but not have to worry about my own setup, I can stomach this a lot more. Definitely works great for new people I play with too!

Now as for the conditions to this announcement: 1. Any currently ongoing collabs will continue. I don't plan to kill off any series that I'm doing! 2. Any future Collab that I've already planned will also happen. No fakeouts here!

3. People who I've collabed with for a while might end up convincing me to do one every now and then, as I can usually trust that the schedule won't be that bad. This is still a bit limited, so probably shouldn't count on me entirely for that one

And to make that worse, there's many weekends where I'll stream once, and not feel like streaming the other night, meaning only 1-2 streams per week. So scheduling anything is a lot harder, as lately my streams have mostly been about availability and most of all my current mood

Which can easily fluctuate at any given moment, where I could want to stream for most of the day, then immediately not want to a minute later or even during a stream. Am I getting burned out? Not necessarily, just getting too tired and maybe a little frustrated

To start off, I want to say that it's not that I don't like hanging out with certain people, I certainly do! I just don't really have the time for it these days, as my schedule is getting worse and worse in terms of streaming, where I only really have weekends

So hey, today marks the day that I'm allowed to use Windows again! We did a full 31 days of Linux only, while a lot of this was present while I was streaming, I've been mostly doing this off stream. I plan to put all of my thoughts in an edited video soon enough!

Just wanted to note that the lack of streams this weekend is mainly due to either being too tired and wanting a break, as well as last night I too a nap and woke up pretty dehydrated or something, as I was getting a bit dizzy. So I just took the night to relax

Considering this stream got canceled due to bad Internet, and was instead recorded... Do we want to see this just straight uploaded as a full VOD, or would everyone prefer I just edit it down into a video? Frankly I could use more video series..

Finally getting to play A Link to the Past... but we're playing it CO-OP!! Come watch as we go across Hyrule once more and defeat Ganon yet again... Seriously it's like a yearly occurrence with these people.. twitch.tv/XolotlVT

Should've said so earlier, but this stream got canceled as my speeds were AWFUL tonight. Ended up just recording our playthrough

I realize I haven't been mentioning much here on Bsky, but I've got a decent amount of Linux setup now on my main PC, recorded plenty of footage, as well as some basic game testing What kind of stuff would anyone like to see on stream? I'm on CachyOS using an NVIDIA GPU (RTX 4070) if that helps

Switching to Windows just for that isn't really using "Only Linux" then. I could technically setup a VM and do it that way, if it'd work, but then I have to deal with partitioning my drive, possibly GPU passthrough, and the latency would need to be good

I'll mostly just be playing games as usual, but I don't think I have anything setup that would dox me in any sense, so I can probably show off plenty! If there's certain stuff you want to see how it runs, certain games maybe, etc. Could also just include those in the videos

The video itself (and probably each part) will not be edited until the end of the challenge, as I want to use Full body tracking with my model on screen for a better narration (software for tracking doesn't seem to work on Linux at all, so that's not gonna happen)

The point of this challenge is to see if in the end, I want to keep Linux installed and daily drive it, or would I prefer to wipe it and come back to it later when I get a dedicated SSD for it, not losing 2TB on the Windows side (which, might not be a big deal anyway)

I'm not going to be doing all the dumb tests LTT did in their Linux Challenge, the point is to just see can I do all the things I normally do on Windows, on Linux. And if I truly can without serious issues.. I may just switch over!

Most of the technical aspects or stuff of that matter will be recorded to both prevent privacy leaks, as well as giving me editing material with DaVinci on Linux I will be using a Dual PC Streaming Setup using my laptop (also on Linux) and my Elgato 4K X capture card
