We the people claim collective ownership of earth by right of birth. We require rent from all who would have exclusive use of any of it. No, the world is not going crazy, it's just the humans.

How long before he renames the USA? Trumpland? Trump Empire? Maybe that's what all the renaming is about, getting folks used to the idea, in preparation for the big reveal.

Mark Chadbourn@chadbourn.bsky.social

That’ll solve it! World’s Most Useless Leader prize.

Driscoll resigned because Trump ignored his repeated warnings about Hegseth. His resignation is as much a protest over Trump's mismanagement as over Hegseth's.

The Secretary of the Army has resigned in protest over Hegseth's mismanagement of the DOD. Our national security is reportedly at risk, and the Commander in Chief was unaware of the issue. abcnews.com/Politics/arm...

What was the DoD is becoming Trump's Private Army. Venezuelan Oil is Trump new way to fund it, without having to go to Congress and the taxpayers. That's what the Pentagon's 35% stake is about. Meanwhile Hegseth is ready to step in at the appropriate time and make it Pete's Private Army.

The US is drawing 2x more sweet crude than sour, about 4 M barrels last week.. They can keep this up for about 20 weeks, until about mid December. (105 M barrels in stock, bottom is ~27 M barrels)

JUST IN 🚨: U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve falls to lowest level since 1983 🤯 👀

Season finale: With just minutes left in his term, Trump pardons all his allies, then resigns, having agreed with Vance that Vance as President will pardon him. But Vance reneges, has Trump arrested, ends all the wars, etc.

The "Health Insurance" debate is a head-fake. People don't need health insurance, they need Health CARE.

Brian Beutler@brianbeutler.bsky.social

I recently argued Dems should draw down hostilities by surrendering to the left on Medicare for All and agreeing to open Medicare until it becomes the default payer. Moderates have responded—to me and others—claiming the current system can be made universal. Is that true? And is it a wise approach?

Good boy, supporting the expansion of Israel. Here's a little treat for you.

Cheeky Anthropic. Now promising Max subscribers "$100/month of free Agent-SDK usage". What they don't say out loud is that from next month your regular subscription CANNOT BE USED for coding, except through an Anthropic agent, beyond this $100 allowance.

That's because, after the free $100, you can only draw from "Extra usage" for coding, unless you use an Anthropic agent. Agent-SDK is the claude code engine behind all the non-Anthropic coding agents.

This. Whatever violates is violent.

Josh Chafetz@joshchafetz.bsky.social

I find it very strange that we unequivocally equate "nonviolent" with "less harmful." Attempting to overthrow the democratically elected government is a hell of a lot more harmful than many--perhaps nearly all--violent crimes, and should be punished accordingly.

This from Claude: "I'm not certain whether Anthropic has shipped a hosted web_fetch equivalent. ... Worth a quick check of the Anthropic docs before we start — do you want me to look it up, or do you already know? (spoiler: it's right there in the docs)

What if everyone got together and threw a huge surprise retirement party for Donny. With a solid gold award, gold medals, ribbons, plaques, balloons, and all the bunting. Maybe he'll be so honored, perhaps even relieved, he'll just go off quietly into the night.

He loves to watch people getting beaten up. Loves to be seen mingling with strong, manly, violent people.

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

Trump at a UFC event last night told fighter Paulo Costa he’s too good-looking to fight. “You’re a beautiful guy. You could be a model, you look so good.” This was what Trump was doing as negotiations with Iran imploded.

Trump just posted this as the "OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF IRAN". - It does not look authentic. - English only text with no branding is not how issue formal statement. - The date format and typography are wrong. - They would not use 'POTUS' or 'my dear brothers' in a formal document.

Every elected representative needs to answer this now: If Trump initiates or threatens a nuclear first strike, will you move immediately to impeach him? And Senators—will you vote to remove him? This isn't hypothetical. The question demands a clear, public answer from everyone in Congress.

"We are lunatics" Translated from the original Projection. Where 'we' means 'them' and 'they' means 'us'.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. They are lunatics, and you can't put nuclear weapons in the hands of a lunatic."

"The motion ... is unusually written ... and often resembles Trump's Truth Social posts" At this point most likely Claude or Grok are writing everything.

Dan Diamond@ddiamond.bsky.social

Trump has filed an emergency appeal to keep building his planned White House ballroom, saying it's a matter of national security. The motion — particularly the first five pages — is unusually written for an appellate brief, and often resembles Trump's Truth Social posts.

The real story: Imitating his master, a FEMA official captured the news by making an outlandish claim. The deeper story: The contagion is spreading. More and more people are learning from and imitating their master. As psychiatrists warned, the mental health disease is contagious.

Peter Baker@peterbakernyt.bsky.social

An official at Trump's FEMA says he once teleported to a Waffle House in Rome, Ga. @richardfausset.bsky.social asked two dozen workers and regulars at Rome’s three Waffle House locations. None was aware of anyone traveling to the restaurants by paranormal means. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/03/u...

How Trump will handle a missing crewman: He'll wait for just the right distraction moment. Then he'll call the lost crewman a loser. That will keep the media busy while he escalates the destruction.

If it were up to Trump, the entire crew would have been left behind. Heck, some senior officers might have been fired for insisting they go back and get a fallen soldier. Trump doesn't care about people. He doesn't even realise people have feelings, because he doesn't have any.

emptywheel@emptywheel.bsky.social

And to be clear: Yesterday's rescue attempt is not Eagle Claw. Four aircraft were hit in an incredibly brave operation, but thus far all but one person got back. But Trump has fucked up every other thing far worse than Jimmy Carter did.

How long before a rest-of-the-world coalition places sanctions on the US and demands regime change?

Carl Quintanilla@carlquintanilla.bsky.social

Trumps standard business model has him syphoning off the profits and then declaring bankruptcy. What does it look like when Trump declares bankruptcy on the USA?

Timothy Snyder@timothysnyder.bsky.social

Hard to win a war when your business model is selling your own war plans. www.offmessage.net/p/expose-all...

Classic projection of "The Trump regime is now admitting to itself that we have been decisively defeated. We're saying to people, 'This is a disaster.' We know it. That's why we're talking to them. We wouldn't talk otherwise. We can't make a comeback. We now have a chance to make a deal." (he hopes)

Trump hires dimwits so he always has someone else to blame when everything turns to custard. Hegseth is the next most obvious victim.

Every claim is a confession. Whatever he says, swap every occurrence of 'they/them' for 'we/us', and you have the truth.

Another example of AI bias: Referring to a statistic that reflects badly on Israel, Claude says: "This figure is cited without contradiction from the host". In fact the statistic is verified. Claude's unnecessary comment only serves to subtly frame accurate information as if it might be false.

"And then we just . . . put them in power again." When you own the media, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Radley Balko@radleybalko.bsky.social

These people were openly plotting to manufacture false pretenses to undermine federal law and overthrow the constitutional order. Clark, the ringleader, was already under indictment for conspiring to overturn the 2020 election. And then we just . . . put them in power again.
