[Flashing Lights Warning] Hello BLUESKY! My name is Tuna. I'm an artist and motion graphics designer from Japan. I use ancient tech as well as modern tech to make new stuff happen. I'm of course still around on Twitter as well but whatever. I just want to make art that lasts. Not content.

Hello all. Firstly, thank you for playing! Here's some inside look at what the #FuralityUltra logo animation looked like in AfterEffects. I've been responsible for producing the all the logo animations for Furality since LUMA. Mainly my job is to get the art and move it around! :D

It's the one project where I can experience my own work without the feeling that "I made it because I got paid for it." Instead, I see decked out avatars with beautiful virtual, clothing matching the style of the theme, voices of happiness from all angles, and just a pure rush of being yourself.

With all that said, even if my schedule is ridiculously filled up, I somehow make room for Furality because I know that the time I put in will bring happiness to a person who I've never met before, somewhere else in the world. My goal in life is to make art that lasts. Furality achieves that goal.

Now, aside the technicalities, I just want to write a bit. I really have to thank the entirety of the creative team. As with my professional background, I tend to work on a huge amount of commercial motion-graphics media and of course... I think of it as a job. But not Furality....

Furality is made of passion, love, and an indescribable amount of effort poured in by an incredibly talented team of furries. In the years I've done so much cooperate work, Furality is the one animation project I can feel truly honest about.

Here's some inside look at the background elements you may have seen on the stream videos. These are simple, looping elements intended to enhance temporal visuals while other elements play above it. Consistency, branding, quality, and being "kinda invisible while present enough" is my main goal.

So on X, that website y’all escaped from, I’ve made it so that the algorithm seriously can’t show anything aside otters I’ve kept hitting the like button on otters and kept rejecting everything else. Now my feed is 95% otters doing adorable things. This is how you control life. Persistence.

HSS3jb - a wonderful little sound and visual toy from 2012! Handmade, got it second hand, kinda broken and might need help because I really donno how to fix this thing. Btw the visuals look perfectly fine, it just stops after a certain amount of time.

Social media made you little special stars and a hedonistic and performative victimhood of charades only your momentary pleasure being the reward for the pathetic accomplishments and the capitalistic bullshit eats your data alive.

Japanese apartments from the 2000s and 2010s have a severe lack of wall outlets that it should be considered a tragedy of a country who looked too short into the future of how much fucking electrical and USB C outlets we’d need in the coming years.

Friend came over a week or two ago and we just hooked up a buncha analog equipment that smashes signals. We also made it feedback into itself resulting in some pretty wild visuals. Part digital, part code, part analog.

たまにはデジタルの世界から離れて、手でちょっとした絵を描くのもいいよ 僕のお絵かき帳のお化けシリーズ

Kai's Power Tools 3.0 from 1995 had this particular tool called Texture Explorer where it had a pretty unique interface and some pretty wild output. These are some of the textures generated by that plugin, saved in Photoshop 5.5 running on MacOS9.

Texture Explorer utilized a sort-of evolutionary algorithm approach where users could explore the textures through mutations. Users had the options to produce similar mutations all the way to wildly different ones.

You probably get the point at this rate but these are some insanely crazy textures it produced. Super crisp too and nothing short of nostalgic and ... would be honest, kinda ugly. But maybe that's what I'm missing in this era dumped with ultra- high res AI ridden art stuff lol.

Music was made with Shapeshift by Tim Exile (Reaktor thingy!) Visuals are output from a iBook G3 running a really really old program and ETC from Critter and Guitari. The visuals were processed with Korg Entrancer. Some digital, mostly analog signal path!

The reason why I enjoy and like all this old gear is because it doesn't include AI and it lets me actually control stuff. At least with all this older tech, I'm not bound to some monthly fee to produce visuals and there's no black box of confused copyright issues that I have to use.

HI I HAVE NOT POSTED IN A WHILE. I'M ALIVE. I'M JUST OUTSIDE A LOT MORE. VERY BUSY WITH COOL STUFF! :D Enjoy life while you can. Have fun. Remember the good stuff. Heal from the bad things.
