This is a master class in how NOT to do customer facing IT! Sam’s Club offered Walmart+ as part of my membership. The email that Sam’s Club sent included a link, but that linked the wrong email. An email that has no Walmart history for me. The Sam’s Club and Walmart help desk icons fail too.

I’ve discovered that about halfway through the second pot of DeathWish, red and blue just become part of the “visible light” spectrum instead of discrete colors. Sound gets more fun too. If you bat individual waves out of the air, the sound gets weird-raspy. Should I resume coding again?

Go man, go! I’m half tempted to just block everyone on your block list because that seems like a “best practice” to me. Not required, it just seems like a good idea to me. Thanks for being a breath of sanity in the online chaos that today has become.

I don’t object to private practice medicine, but single payer healthcare is the world standard. It costs less, prevents needless death and suffering, and just plain “does better” than pure private pay. Doctors and healthcare workers should be able to choose, not forced to practice privately.

Users behave according to user needs, not your expectations. Outlook made reporting spam and phishing a multiple step process, one message at a time. This makes reporting very user intensive. The goal was allegedly to make users think and catagorize reports carefully. Now they all are Phishing!

Just an observation for the inexperienced… if you tell a person with strong theater background and current connections that they are “dressed funny” be prepared. That is a direct challenge! My bet is that you can’t imagine the response.

Dexcom G7 update! I had to replace my cell phone yesterday. This time the swap of the Dexcom G7 was painless! Kudos to the Dexcom folks for making this migration process to a different phone so easy that I couldn’t imagine or believe the difference between this move compared to past changes!

In Norton 360, is it possible to enable Norton Core Security while using Proton VPN or is the Norton VPN all that works with Norton 360? The Norton product is fairly good, but the VPN and Password vault fall short of my expectations.

I’m pretty confident that MAGA types are not aware that cutting food benefits may not technically be abortion, but cutting those benefits has the same effect in a less humane way. A bonus side effect of cutting benefits is the harm that does to local businesses, which can be catastrophic.

In Microsoft SQL 2016 Enterprise Learn is vague on just how the database MAXDOP can override the Instance MAXDOP. I’m not clear on how much wiggle room we have. Can a database go back to unlimited parallelism if the instance is set at 1? Zero probably shouldn’t work but maybe the core count???

Watching 60 minutes every Sunday night was a ritual. It became something I waited for, because exactly five minutes afterwards my grandfather would call me to talk about it, and even my mom knew that call was IMPORTANT. Monday, 60 Minutes was conversation with my favorite high school teacher!
