What I like about this IronFly is that the profit range up to three weeks before expiry is from $288 to $354, as shown below. That should allow for failed breakdowns/breakouts, chopping, etc. We shall see how it works out.

This Eaton Vance CEF, sells calls on most of the portfolio and buys puts near ATM. This limits the downside in case of sudden downdraft. Nice monthly payer with increasing/non-destructive NAV. This is my largest CEF holding.

Opened another ITM covered call. This time in $AMD when it dropped in the morning. $155 is some support. IV is high and if it stays above 152.5 on 9/12 (10 days), I make over 50% annualized rate of return.

ITM Covered Call for $AMAT. It collapsed on Friday (8/15) after reporting poor future earnings. My goal is to get 1% in two weeks.Would own it at $153.5 if it collapses: Sold 2 contracts exp 8/29 155 call. Net basis as shown 30771, ex-Div this week $92. Annualized return if assigned: 27%

This continues to do well. Hands Off trade so far and close to middle of the tent:

$GILD goes ex-div soon after expiry. I want to capture the dividend and option income in the follow up trade.

Proceeds of $13335 are used to buy $BIL ETF, earning around 4.5%(secured) and with minimal margin. I currently have around $200K in BIL, all of it from sale of puts, Iron Flys of $SPX and $NDX. Margin required is around $14000. I earn around $900 per month in dividends from it.

New growth on my newly planted Twombly's Red Sentinel Japanese Maple. I am in Zone 6 and this is planted in Full Sun. I bought this 3 gallon tree by mail last year from Maple Ridge Nurserary (Georgia). I am guessing it's around 4 years old. #Gardening #JapaneseMaple
