Starting TONIGHT, Young Democrats of America is hosting a GOTV Phone Bank series to help Democrats across the country win up and down the ballot this November. We’ll be calling voters, answering questions, and making sure folks have a plan to vote. Link in bio to join. Let’s get to work! 📲🗳️

The Young Democrats of America stand with all survivors of sexual violence, both amid the recent reports receiving national attention and and in our ongoing commitment to supporting survivors, amplifying their voices, and demanding accountability.

Today, we honor the histories, cultures, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous peoples & Tribal Nations. We recognize the generations of Indigenous leaders who have protected their communities, preserved their traditions, and advocated for the sovereignty, rights, and futures of their people.

Today is National Voter Registration Day! Whether you’re registering for the first time, updating your information, or simply checking your registration status, taking a few minutes to make sure your voter registration is up to date can help you be prepared for when Election Day arrives.

Today we remember the lives lost during the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon & Flight 93. We also remember & are forever grateful to the first responders & volunteers who helped in the aftermath of these attacks. 25 years later, the country still mourns this loss. Never Forget.

Today we honor the humanitarian workers, advocates, & everyday volunteers who have dedicated themselves to protecting human dignity and helping communities through crises. They remind us that every person deserves compassion, safety & right to live with dignity. Thank you for serving humanity 💙🌎

On the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, we honor the rich histories, cultures, languages, and traditions of Indigenous communities around the globe. Today and every day, we celebrate the strength, wisdom, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.

Before the Voting Rights Act, millions of American, especially Black voters across the South, were systematically denied their fundamental right to vote through literacy tests, poll taxes, intimidation, and violence.

As young Dems, we know that protecting our democracy is an ongoing responsibility. More than 60 years later, we continue to see efforts to undermine voting rights through voter roll purges, the spread of misinformation, and restrictive voting requirements that create barriers for eligible voters.

The work is not finished. We urge everyone to contact their reps & demand that Congress restore the full protections of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by passing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. Because democracy works best when everyone has the freedom to make their voice count.

Before the Voting Rights Act, millions of American, especially Black voters across the South, were systematically denied their fundamental right to vote through literacy tests, poll taxes, intimidation, and violence.

Over the past several weeks, young leaders from across the country came together to sharpen their skills, share ideas, and invest in the future of our movement. A heartfelt thank you to every presenter and participant who generously shared their time, expertise, and experiences.

Today, we celebrate the 65th birthday of President Barack Obama. President Obama inspired a generation to believe that change is possible through hope, service, and civic engagement. Happy Birthday, President Obama!

Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a landmark civil rights law that ensured everyone deserves equal access, opportunity, and dignity. The fight for disability rights is far from over, but today we get to celebrate how far we've come.

What unites us is a shared belief that America is strongest when everyone has the opportunity to belong, to contribute, and to shape our future. As we mark 250 years of our nation, let's remember that patriotism isn't about where you come from, it's about what you're willing to build together.

On this day in 1964, the Civil Rights Act was signed into law, a landmark victory born from the courage, sacrifice, and relentless organizing of the Civil Rights Movement. Today, we celebrate the progress we have made and recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.

Progress has never been inevitable. It has always been driven by ordinary people willing to organize, march, strike, vote, speak out, and demand that our country live up to its promises. Every generation has inherited unfinished work, and every generation has had the opportunity to move us forward.

Now it’s our turn. As we celebrate 250 years, let’s honor those who came before us not just by remembering their courage, but by continuing it. Get involved in your community, organize for the issues you care about & join YDA as we work to build a more democratic future for generations that follow.

Mental health is health, yet far too many Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color continue to face barriers to care; from stigma and cultural misconceptions to language barriers, discrimination, and a lack of accessible, affordable resources.

This month, we reaffirm our commitment to breaking the stigma, advocating for equitable mental health care, and ensuring every person has access to the support they deserve. Healing should never depend on your race, zip code, or income. You are not alone, and your mental health matters.

This month we proudly celebrate the history, strength & leadership of the disability community. YDA is committed to building a future where accessibility is not an afterthought & disabled voices are heard at every table where decisions are made.

The Supreme Court decision is a reminder that the fight for equality is far from over. Young Democrats of America stands with transgender youth today & every day. Trans people belong everywhere, including on the playing field. We will continue to stand for inclusion and equal opportunity for all.

As America approaches its 250th, we’re reflecting on both our founding ideals and the distance between those ideals & reality. Join YDA & help build the future our founding principles have always pointed toward: a nation where opportunity, freedom, and equality are realities for everyone.

Today, we honor the courage of those who stood up at the Stonewall Inn & sparked a movement that changed history. As Young Dems, we honor the activists who came before us by continuing their work: organizing, advocating, & building a future where everyone can live openly, safely, and authentically.

22,000 strong. 💙🎉 To every member, supporter, volunteer, partner, and follower who has liked, shared, commented, attended an event, organized in your community, or simply believed in the power of young people to shape our democracy, thank you. Here's to continuing the work together. 💙

Today marks the 11th anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges; the landmark Supreme Court decision that affirmed the freedom to marry for same-sex couples across the United States. Love is love, and equality is worth protecting every single day. 🏳️‍🌈

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth by recognizing the significance of June 19, 1865, reflecting on our nation’s history, & honoring the resilience & contributions of Black Americans whose fight for freedom and equality helped shape our democracy. This Juneteenth, let us Recognize. Reflect. Celebrate.

This Pride Month, we’re proud to celebrate the LGBTQ+ leaders, organizers, and advocates who help strengthen YDA every day. Their voices, experiences, & leadership make our organization more inclusive, more representative, & more effective in the fight for equality & justice. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈
