Note taking as part of a not so cyber #cybersandwich activity to start a reading on Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass #eduprorocols

Started vocab quiz day with a #quickslide #eduprotcol to review!

My most recent project involves humanizing productivity with the use of artificial intelligence. Right now I’m reading slow productivity by Cal Newport for the third time. This quote hits me in the feels right now. How do we prevent AI from doing what networked computing did in the 90s? #edusky

I’m finding more and more ways to use AI all the time. It has saved me time throughout the school year. I feel like I have certain tools, but don’t feel like I’m close to maximizing the potential. #BFC530

Difficult at this time of year, but I enjoy spending time outside, especially exercising. Spending time with my family and avoiding brining work home when it can be avoided all help. It can be a struggle at times though. #BFC530

We are about to engage in a choice board assessment which allows students to creatively show how they can apply skills that we discussed through our a novel they have read in class. The board provides creative ways for students to connect with the material from class. #BFC530

I was a sports nut in upper elementary…if Matt Christopher wrote, I read it. Before that Arthur, Encyclopedia Brown, and The Boxcar Children got me reading. #kidlitchat

A7 Best follows and resources would be good. Also, as teachers sometimes it’s hard to reflect in the moment, but oh so important. The chats I used to interact with helped me do that. Maybe questions focused on how we’ve grown as educators and lessons we have learned would be good. #theedcollab

A6 I will provide you with everything I can to help you be successful I will give you voice and choice. I will give you a fresh start each day. #theedcollab

A2 Up and down. I am currently enjoying what I’m teaching but it’s a busy time of year. I am coaching basketball and finishing grad school. I am fortunate to work with great people and have a supportive family…but there are still tough days. I appreciate the check in #theedcollab

A4 My grade level team and PLC in my district as all the in person connections I have made. Looking forward to joining this ground #BFC530 #eduskychat and others. I enjoyed participating in #ditchbook and #TLAP on twitter. I have also enjoyed learning from peers in my grad program

#theedcollab a3 Teachers are thieves. I look forward to stealing the best ideas and the best strategies. Assignments, assessments, grading ideas, new tech tools…all of it.

Proud of my alma mater and Mr. Smith for promoting curiousity and connection! who13.com/news/special...

A3 I've got a list longer than my arm--mostly #AI tools. Eg ditchthattextbook.com/ai-tools/ #EduSkyChat

A3 I may need to spend some time on Magic School for some AI help. I’d also like to dig more into Diffit’s eduprotocols. I am using their Bookakucha template tomorrow to my students who are reading dystopian novels #eduskychat

A2 b Diffit has been good. I have had some issues, but for the most part it has been helpful and saved a lot of time! #eduskychat

A2 #eduskychat

Lately it’s been my short answer. I have honestly fallen behind, I feel. I switched from history to ELA at the time many ed chats ended. I want to incorporate more eduprotocols soon! #eduskychat

A1 The Ed tech Tool I couldn’t do without these days is a class website. I keep all sorts of materials and assignment information there. If students have a question, I can often often point them to the site. Also screencastify is great for sub plans…he says as his daughter looks sick #eduskychat

Hey #eduskychat! I’m Zac from Iowa. I teach 8th grade ELA. I got big into twitter chats during Covid, and have missed them like crazy. I gained so many great ideas through those chats.

Some great points in your post Jordan! I am curious, do you think we could incorporate listening to audiobooks in class more? Do you think that would help some student? So many kids enjoy being read to, I wonder if that could help some. #bfc530

8th grade ELA Students who do read consistently seem to have better demeanors towards school and assignments. They are also better able to connect with the world around them. Students who don’t read for pleasure seem intimidated or uninterested in school work. Limited connections as well. #BFC530
