I just met Russ, who made the Naylor Hammer and brought it for the first time tonight. He plans to upgrade it, we hope with several years to work on it. *So* many good Mariners signs and fan outfits these last few weeks.

It’s easy to dismiss Jorge Polanco’s 2024 numbers as a whole, but from July 24 to July 26 he slashed .286/.444/.857 with a 256 wRC+ The west is ours

Mariners ranked #1, which probably shouldn’t be too surprising given they lead baseball in prospects in the top 100 with 7

Good article! Seattle’s low park factor is a kitchen sink of issues, to which I’ll add one more fun fact not mentioned herein: Seattle has MLB’s strongest gravity. A fly ball in Miami will travel about a foot farther than the same ball in Seattle, just from the difference in earth’s gravity alone.

Why is it so hard to hit at Seattle's T-Mobile Field? A deep one on how the the best pitcher's park in baseball creates strikeouts, limits damage, makes it hard to evaluate pitchers and hitters -- and why it's about more than *just* the batter's eye. --> www.mlb.com/news/seattle...

mlb.comMLB's most extreme ballpark isn't in ColoradoAsk a dozen baseball fans which stadium they think created the most extreme park effects in 2024, and invariably most or all of them will give you the same answer: Coors Field. Colorado's ballpark is ...

Mariners rumor mill: M’s have checked in on numerous trade possibilities at first base and third base. Cleveland 1B Josh Naylor is among those, but a deal is “highly unlikely,” per source, after the Guardians offloaded Andres Gimenez’s contract last week.

“hey roki, how would you like to come to seattle where we only have like three people officially covering the team and where the main sports radio station couldn’t care less about the mariners” would be my pitch

Take this with a grain of salt but I’ve been hearing for months that Sasaki does not want to be in a market with a media circus. Now his agent is lamenting that he’s “gone through” things with the media.

Remember when the Mariners made like four trades to get more international pool money, and we all thought Seattle was going to get Shohei Ohtani, and life felt like it was worth living?
