Okay, time for a real introduction… My name is Zack and I’m a huge nerd who loves talking about video games, film, television, books, and all sorts of art/entertainment. I also run a video game review blog called Sight-In Games (link in bio). Let me know what you’re watching/playing/reading!

I took some time off writing about virtual reality for personal reasons, but there's no better game for me to come back to than Terry's Terraforming. As the title suggests, molding planets to find the sweet spot is both entertaining and enlightening. Here is my review.

pixelbytegaming.comTerry’s Terraforming Review – A Fun, Educational Way To Play GodTerry’s Terraforming is a VR adventure that combines a deeply satisfying planet terraforming system with smart educational elements.

I love that Life is Strange: Double Exposure ends with a Marvel-esque “end credits scene” and goes as far as showing a black background with text saying “Max Caulfield will return”. Hell yeah. Can’t wait to pick up Reunion next time I go to the library.

I know it’s been an awful day for gaming news, but I thought I’d reshare this for the evening crowd. If you’re looking for a fun and simple horror game for this Halloween season, House of Ashes is a great pick.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes takes Supermassive’s playable horror movie vibe and creates a wickedly fun “creature feature” that’s a blast to play either solo or in a group setting. Here’s my review: sightingames.wordpress.com/2026/10/21/r...

My review for The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is ready for tomorrow morning! Might not be the only horror review I have going up this week 👀

Look, I am angry. I know I'm not the only one. The amount of AI slop we see trying to find worthwhile games on Steam is overwhelming. So, to not be consumed by rage, instead I made this list of the most shameless excuses devs have written as AI content disclosures. Enjoy.

Just finished the new Carrie and absolutely loved it! Such a fantastic modern reimagining driven by an electric cast. I have a lot of spoiler-y thoughts running through my head that I won’t share here, but I think there’s some interesting set up here for more projects 👀

Penguin Colony uses H.P. Lovecraft’s cosmic horror to confront headfirst one of the worst permeating issues in our current society: fascism. Apart from the less-than-stellar movement as an all-seeing penguin, it is an adaptation that transcends gaming. My review.

pixelbytegaming.comPenguin Colony Review – The Wake-Up Call The World Needs Right NowPenguin Colony takes ample creative freedom in creating one of H.P. Lovecraft’s most authentic adaptations of his work, while you play as a stocky penguin.

I promise a review is coming at some point, but I’m on my third playthrough of The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes and marveling at its design. Every small decision matters, and the way the most innocuous choice can have a massive impact later on is staggering.

I feel bad for everyone who hasn’t watched Star Wars: Visions. It’s an anthology series where each episode is helmed by a different Japanese animation studio. The final episode of this latest season, titled “Black”, might just be my favorite piece of animation this year.

Curse of Resthaven is debuting a new extended demo today, and I got a chance to try it early. I would be lying if I said I wasn't counting down the days until I can play the full game. Its gothic atmosphere is thick; its eldritch mystery alluring. Here is my preview.

Giving this an afternoon bump! There are some technical shortcomings (which will hopefully be patched) but Zero Company is a great introduction to the turn-based tactics genre and especially worth your time if you’re a Star Wars fan.

Zack Burrows@zackburrows.bsky.social

As someone who has never dabbled in theses kinds of tactics games, Star Wars: Zero Company completely surprised me and won me over. It’s not without flaws, but it’s a terrific game nonetheless. Here’s my review! sightingames.wordpress.com/2026/10/07/r...

I’m really bad at keeping up to date on everyone’s blogs, podcasts, YouTube channels, and Twitch streams, but I’m proud of all of you and constantly inspired by how many cool people are on here making great stuff!

For added context, here’s some of the monster trucks I’ve been having an almost 4-year-old introduce me to. Here’s Megalodon, Rhinomite, Tiger Shark, and Bone Shaker (don’t know what its actual name is, but this is the name he landed on lol)

Spent my morning babysitting, which means playing with Hot Wheels/monster trucks, eating peanut butter toast, building a fort, and watching The Lion King. Honestly? This has been one of the most peaceful and fun mornings I’ve had in a very long time.

My girlfriend and I have been on a kick of watching early-to-mid 00’s film and television and decided to watch something that would be “new” to both of us… The O.C. We’re currently halfway through season 3 and honestly? This show has some truly great comedy and heart.

I love Songs of Glimmerwick. A true folktale, it embraces lush art and rustic music to make you feel like a real witch attending a magic university. Even its farm sim elements feel novel thanks to its comfy use of spells. This is the gentle fantasy of my dreams. My review.

This whole situation still doesn’t feel real and has left me heartbroken for the victim, disappointed and disgusted by Geller, and devastated for the crew at MinnMax.

MinnMax@minnmax.com

Jacob Geller is no longer a part of MinnMax. He won't be on content moving forward and we won't be publicly airing this week's episode of The MinnMax Show. We're in shock and deeply hurt. Thank you for your patience during this sensitive time.

The Witcher 3: Remastered looks gorgeous, but I’m being hit with performance issues, audio inconsistencies (sound effects not playing, voices being whisper quiet, etc.), and Vesemir keeps clipping into the ground??? Probably going to wait for a patch before playing more.
