Another hot tip for animation: you are not animating motion. You are animating the effects of motion. Often that means how something changes in position over time, but it's also very common for you to instead see the path or effects of that motion, rather than its explicit positions itself.

Take super fast motions, like a punch. You don't usually animate it gradually accelerating: usually it goes from wind up to contact in a single frame. Add a smear, now it's fast and clear. Now, have it go *past* the contact point before bouncing back to its intended position. Now it feels powerful.

"how do I make this animation smoother?" everyone for some reason: "you need more frames!" More frames is a lie made up by Big Animation to sell more timeline space

If you want something to look smoother, start with the motion, not the frames. More frames will only enhance an already smooth motion, it will not make something smooth. Focus on the minimum amount of frames to actually make the animation legible and work from there.
