gotta love epic monster designs. these guys look badass especially the middle one

Monster movie night with @lluisabadias.bsky.social and it's one of my absolute fun favourites, Pacific Rim Uprising I will hear no hate for this film, every time I watch it I love it more. It's got so much to love from the found family narrative, robot-on-robot action, & fantastic kaiju designs!

hey all! ~ i wanna still post fun stuff but with college classes now being my top priority, i wont have as much time to work on my characters. however i'll still be doing commissions and those will also be posted. juuust wont be able to do freebies for a while. thankyu!!

on the left is a tilcayo, felisa (she/they). just like their real-world animal, they're have bolivian origin and speak spanglish mostly. on the right is chronically high oppossum, nandi (she/her) who's door is literally open for everyone and has an insatiable appetite.

struggling with anxiety makes social events really hard. i get excited to go somewhere and then bam, im having a mini anxiety attack dont get me wrong i enjoy the events i go to but as soon as something triggers it, my mood entirely changes. especially when encountering an 'unmovable force'

and then feel guilty about the inability to really explain it. heck im looking for the same answers those peers are. thats the worst part. telling yourself to be stronger and when the problem is in your face, you just cant. its about knowing it doesnt make you weaker, you just, feel like it does

i think we all need those people we can go to to support us when we cant support ourselves. its about recognizing thats what you need. first step is always the hardest. sorry for the rant but its definitely a thought i needed to get out lol. more art in the coming week ๐Ÿ‡

its sort of that inescapable dread that makes me hit that wall. the stuff i cant actively control. like seeing someone who looks *exactly* like someone you knew. it could very well be them. speculation really gets you into that hole of fear. how do you explain that to your peers?

hardest part is, how do you tell the people around you youre feeling overwhelmed? its like trying to navigate a maze or picking whichever door might not lead to certain doom. and when that unmovable force is a person, well thats another can of worms. its all the 'what ifs', the unanswered lol

1/3 i miss the days of steven universe because watching the show for the first time all those years ago really opened up the doors for me to a lot of things i needed to be taught. but, media comes and goes and its extremely disappointing seeing people put down new shows or not give it attention-

2/3 because it could very well become media that speaks to people, resonates with people. nothing will ever be EXACTLY the same as steven universe, but i think we just need to be more open and accepting to people trying new things, not being afraid to explore the gross, the uncomfortable-

3/3 theres a certain brutality to life and people's characters that as adults we may just need to see in order to establish stronger empathy. there's an uprising trend in apathy that leaves a sour taste in my mouth because people just don't care about a lot anymore. i might have more to say later

some people will say in response to "i feel bad that my art isnt getting views", to "Not care about the views, do it because you like to" when part of art is people viewing it and resonating with it sometimes people do need to feel validated and seen, because their art is mesnt to speak to people

its not to say that you need your art to be viewed but no matter what you tell someone they will still see the downsides of trying to get their art out there. its supposed to be fun, yet it feels like a process. what we can do is support others instead of focusing only on our work. be part it

i see some people who are REALLY good at drawing stuff with perspective and shading to match and it makes me want to practice that but with my commission sheet almost finished i worry about making any shape inaccuracies with the designs ๐Ÿ’”

sometimes i think of doing art streams on twitch or other platforms but i can never gauge the success level of those lol. for some reason i draw better when i know others are seeing me do it. ill think about trying to make a vtuber model for myself, i have quite some experience already with that.

i have such a hard time at switching between tasks because sometimes i wanna draw and sometimes i wanna play games and i just cant do both. i wanna share the art ive been working on but playing terraria has CONSUMED ME ONCE MORE.

worst part is i never play games solo. ever. so i have to wait for the other person (in this case, my partner) to get his ass home from work, take a nap, just to play. these are minor complains lol. but i prefer my days to be on a countdown until the next thing i have planned.
