i have a growing collection on my phone labeled "pictures of people taking pictures". if we're hanging out and i catch you taking a picture of something, you will end up in here

reading the 716 page long technical specification for H.265 (for fun) and finding out that 0 is actually 8 but is actually 9 and 7 is actually 15 but also actually 16

i seem to have this subconscious way of arranging my fusion graphs that once they grow to a certain size they always end up looking like some eldritch feathered beast

im telling yall that freestyle dance is the greatest thing ever invented by humans, like its unfair how fucking fun this shit is

4) you thought the speedrunning community was wholesome? the dance community honestly gives it a run for its money in my experience. You will meet some of the nicest, most supportive people because dance culture is built on supporting and hyping each other up, regardless of your level.

3) and this kinda plays into 2 aswell - you can do this shit for a lifetime and still get better at it every day. i've realized that for me one of life's greatest joys is the process of getting better at something.

it's why i love speedrunning, it's why i love making videos and it's honestly the main thing that fuels me in everything i do. Actually, while I'm drawing this parallel, freestyle street dance is competitive smash. Breaking is Melee, Hip Hop is Ultimate, uhhh Locking is Smash 64

2) it's wayyy more mentally stimulating than you think. whatever level you're at there's something for your brain to think about. first it's basic body coordination and being able to remember and do basic steps, then you start doing those steps to the beat and at different speeds,

then you start getting into the real technical shit. isolating different body parts, building body awareness. musicality, being able to hear individual instruments and patterns in a song while you're already in the middle of dancing and being able to respond to and even predict them in real time

yknow what fuck it im going on a rant in hopes that maybe ill convince one person to pick it up 1) it's banger exercise. different styles will obv have different levels of intensity (breaking is probably the most physically intense while styles like waving or tutting are comparatively chill)

but before i started dancing i was legit built like a stick. im still very slim all things considered but that little bit of extra muscle has made a crazy difference in how comfortable i feel in my own skin.

on september 20th, 2025, at 2:00 AM, while fully sober and lucid, i commited a heinous act of vandalism. this is my confession

i'm no stranger to videos of mine having a second wind, but shorts are such an anomaly i get blindsided by the funny blue line so often

i need to get off windows bc it's not getting security updates anymore but i told my friend id play valorant with them what do i do chat

pre-christmas release is turning out to have been a little bit too ambitious of a release window. I'm still aiming for a release within the month but I also wanna reach a level of polish I'm happy with, so I'm not trying to rush myself

been doing animation in some capacity for like 9 years or so and I am just now properly realizing how OP it is to record reference. I feel so silly for not having done this for such a long time because it is uncanny how much easier it made this shot, it almost felt like cheating lol

it's been pretty wild looking at the progress i've made in breaking recently. big level ups in technique, musicality and just overall flavor. it's great being a relative newbie training with peeps who've been at it for 10+ years bc you learn so much from them every session, even just passively
