I still think the East Wing should be left as rubble, renamed “The Trump Memorial” and leave it in the current state (after ensuring the site is safe) for 100 years, ensuring every living member of that family will have that humiliating reminder hanging over their heads for the rest of their lives.

When we get to the “put them on trial” stage, we will really need to figure out WHERE we will be putting these criminals and traitors. I would recommend using the camps they have built for immigrants they are grabbing off the streets. They’ve defended the conditions, so they should live with them.

I mean, at least until proper facilities can be built. More of a “are you really sure this is acceptable” slap to the face before moving them somewhere that would not be comparable to a concentration camp.

With the AI hack/PHP vulnerability reveal, at what point do the AI companies become legally liable for the damages caused by the actions of their creation built on the backs of stolen material?

When we, hopefully, get an actual president again I seriously hope they sign on to and immediately honor any and all ICC warrants issued against members of the current regime.

I find it truly ironic that members of the GOP are notorious for tellingly people who criticize Trump “if you don’t like the country, leave” but the GOP members speaking out about the morally corrupt nature of the GOP aren’t leaving the party. Seems an easier than leaving the country. Weird.

The biggest takeaway for the clusterfuck that is US politics and government right now is that we should be looked on as a warning to the rest of the world. What is happening here can happen anywhere. Keep an eye on your domestic right wing movements and keep them at least in check. 1/

UK Reform, the Alberta Seperatist movement, Flavio Bolsinaro in Brazil, etc etc. These are all different iterations of the same thing we’re experiencing in the US. While Alberta did overwhelmingly vote to remain (thankfully), the fact it even came up for a vote should be disconcerting.

The folks who said we needed a businessman in the White House are getting their wish. The nation is being gutted and torn apart just like a company being acquired by corporate raiders. I never want to hear “we need a businessman in the White House” ever fucking again.

If there is one thing the Starlink issue shows is a need for nations to invest in their own solutions rather than rely on the whims of a single corporation or billionaire. Redundancy spread over multiple partners solves the issue of too much power in one location.

It also serves as a safeguard for the next time a democratic nation slides towards authoritarianism. With the foundation spread out among many, the potential for a cut off drops significantly. Anyone who thinks their nation is immune needs to check on right wing group growth in your own nation.

OK folks, here’s a group exercise: in the US, since there is no mechanism for the People to trigger the removal of a sitting president outside of the voting booth, what would you suggest as a solution to be implemented to ensure this never happens again? 1/

Suggestion 2: People in any state can trigger a no confidence vote by collection 20% of the state population’s signatures. Once more than half the states have done so, it triggers a national election to vote out the individual. Not quick, but quicker than 4 years.

We’re talking about a legal mechanism that will require an amendment to the Constitution, not simply means of applying pressure, such as continued protest. It would need to include safeguards from being abused and turning US politics into complete chaos.

“It’s like, like, I mean, it’s amazing. When you stand up here, it’s just like, the love,” Trump marveled. “I could say the stupidest things and you’d clap. ‘Oh, I love you so—’ It’s true.” He could, does, and they do.

To all the people in the US freaking out about Muslims: I have never heard a Muslim in the US call for the bombing if two major US cities before, but I have heard the US president do so. Muslims are neither the issue nor the threat. Trump and the magats who cheered on his call to bomb LA and SD are.

The orange poopaloompa just gave a nation we are war at the green light to kill THOUSANDS IF NOT MILLIONS of US citizens. Can both chambers of Congress please return to DC to begin immediate impeachment proceedings for treason?

Hey everyone outside the US, Look to the US as an example of the impact of allowing fascist politics to claim a foothold in your political system. Do not let our dumpster fire distract you from any dumpster fires starting on your own shores. Stay vigilant and avoid the path we are on.

Time to end qualified immunity and require police to carry the equivalent to malpractice insurance. This will serve two purposes: 1. Reduces taxpayer impact from police illegal actions 2. Puts some kind of filtering system in place: bad cops won’t be able to get insured

Hey MAGA, I think you forgot Mathew 7:12 and Luke 6:31. I mean it’s in the Bible and y’all say you’re Christian but it bears pointing out. Remember, per your religion, you are showing us how YOU want to be treated. Just thought you might need a reminder about your claimed beliefs.

Thinking about government guardrails, and how a government that is inherently corrupt will never police itself, it may be time for a Constitutional Amendment to establish a fourth branch of government whose SOLE job is rooting out corruption within all branches of the Fed and all departments. 1/

One person from every state and from DC. Not sure if this should be appointed at the state level or an elected position and duration should be no more than two years with a two term limit. Give a direct line for whistleblowers. Give them authority to initiate FBI investigations, IRS audits, etc.

Honestly, I rarely ever champion anything for corporations, but I want to start hearing news stories about companies who not only fire employees who use racial slurs against customers, I want to hear stories about companies who also sue the fuck out of those employees for damaging the company brand.

What’s the fucking point of suffering through the toxic bullshit of late stage capitalism if you can’t leverage it against racist assholes while wanting to revamp and improve the system for everyone.

So there’s one thing I think magats just don’t grasp. When they cheer on abductions, murders, violence against others (fellow citizens or not), etc. what they are doing is showing the world how they themselves want to be treated. 1/

They claim to be “Christian” and the Bible clearly tells them to “do unto others as you would have them don’t to you” Luke 6:31 And “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7:12 2/

As their source for holiness tells them that’s what they are doing, they are either ignorant of their actual faith, they are CINOs, of maga is really just a death cult at its heart. The question is, do we grant them their wish when the dust settles from the shitshow they turned on the world?

I am hoping that when the WH press pool returns the first question goes something like this: “My question has two parts. First, it has become quite obvious the President is having issues. Can you tell us is the president senile or is he insane? Second, why has his cabinet not invoked the 25th?”

As an asterisk attached to a sporting record indicates that it is somehow tainted, I hereby put forward that all references to trump’s terms in office also be followed by an asterisk (44th Obama, 45th* trump, 46th Biden, 47* trump). The presidency will be tainted for years after trump.

Can we formally charge each and every member of this administration who openly calls for or supports violating the Constitution with treason when this is all said and done? I am getting really fucking tired of having a president and his lackies who feels they can wipe his ass with the Constitution.

Since billionaire stadium owners like to swing things authority around, moving forward, I’d advise any town looking to build this kind of venue using public funds to require a PUBLIC GOVERNING BOARD to run the facility. If they want public funds, the public should demand oversight.

Since Pink said fans should demand refunds for the two shows based off what Macklemore said, I think fans should demand refunds for the remainder of the tour based off the end results of this debacle. If neither is able to tour again, I will not shed a tear.

Sorry, but I just saw an AI ad where the person talking referred to it as “their best employee”. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. It is NOT an employee, it’s a fucking tool, and with generative AI it’s a defective tool you need to double check all its work to make sure it didn’t fuck up.

Hey UK folks, I’ve been getting a lot of your political content in my feed. I’m sorry y’all are having to deal with the same shit different name (maga/reform) and wish you luck in keeping them out of power. Fuck fascism regardless of the name it uses. Good luck and kick them all to the curb.

Trump is having so many hallucinations (like being pulled from rubble on 9/11 when he was actually across town on the phone with media bragging about how trump tower was now the tallest in NYC), I’m convinced he’s getting his talking points from ChatGPT.

Can we heavily fine all the companies that are bending over for trump’s stupid proclamations? This remaining everything to “_____ of America” or adding trump’s name to ANYTHING shit is so fucking stupid and any company following doesn’t deserve the right to do business in the US.

Pretty sure at this point part of regaining any sort of credibility on the world stage, the next US president will need to agree to support any ICC warrants put out for members of the current administration, up to and including Trump.

With cops using Flock cameras for stalking, it’s time to seriously talk about the possibility of a class action suit by the US populace against Flock and similar companies for stalking. Recording movements, keeping records/database of activity, and they are not law enforcement.
