When will the vibe coded musical instrument and plugin bubble burst? What is the answer to this. I’ve said before I want one of my older pieces of hardware to be made open source and I’d love to see real devs do something with that. But I won’t flash my firmware with rando-hack.

I had a good day yesterday but when I got home everything went to shit. It’s lame having to go to bed in a bad mood.

Another early morning sampling session. 10/20/30 years ago it would have been a late night session. What have i become.

My recent adoption. She a 3 year old mut. We think a pug and boxer mix. She has an incredible personality and loves to spoiled.

I just saw a custom firmware for the Polyend Tracker. It was reverse engineered and vibe coded. I’d love to see the tracker open sourced but no way in hell I’m flashing my gear with vibe coded slop.

I spent the last couple of days in Texas and they wanted me to verify my age to use this site. Via uploading my ID. F that. I went without. F Texas.

Connected the Polyend Tracker (OG), Dirtywave M8, and the Torso S-4 this weekend routed through the 1010 Bluebox. It was inspiring and adventurous. I’ll hook up the Polyend Tracker Mini today. 3 trackers going at once for the hell of it. Good times.

Today we dust off the Polyend Tracker (OG and Mini) and compare them to the Dirtywave M8. I understand that they are different beasts but I am curious about my workflow with each in real time.

I started reading Dungeon Crawler Carl. It’s awesome for those with tabletop or video game RPG experience (me), but I think it would alienate people with no clue about those things. I dig it so far.

Am I in the “fuck it, release it” stage of my musical journey or am I still stuck in the “it’s only a demo and it will never be done” stage?

I finally got around to turning an old iPhone into an iPod. I was considering purchasing an old iPod but I think the phone is the better option.

I have discovered that I am most productive in sound design and sampling, early in the morning. Maybe it’s the fresh ears.

Your never ending, hard to get out of loop, can be interesting and entertaining if you don’t make the track 5 mins long. Normalize short tracks.
