A picture of Zool. Anyone remember Zool? Did anyone actually like Zool? I thought I did until I played it again. Cool character, great product placement(?!), awful game.

The Zool franchise almost doesn't end there because apparently Ninjabread Man and 3 other Wii/PS2 platformers were all a part of a failed Zool pitch

I didn't really have a lot of choice back in the day so Zool was one of the games I played, a LOT :) Has a lot of flaws, but introduced me to a lot of interesting mechanics, sliding for example :) Loved the music world where you could (and had to!) play notes by jumping on a giant piano keybed.

I remember the giant piano! I can't remember it being anything more than something to play on though. Some nice ideas and it looked amazing!

Yes! That piano "puzzle" was my favorite part of the game. I remember keeping post-it notes on the computer monitor with the notes you had to play

There was also a game-within-a-game in the last world, where you played an arcade game of sorts, if I remember correctly :D

It's cool, until it isn't... and my tolerance for platforming bullshittery is relatively high. youtu.be/yyicnSRZtC0

Yep, I remember playing the original DOS version, and I thought it was fun as a kid back then

Yeah, never played the game but enjoyed the music. The one track that also plays in Lotus 3

Oh! I didn't know that, but totally makes sense. Those crazy Amiga days :)

Absolutely transported back to this wild era!

Cool Spot was also a bad game... but I like it more 😎 Very weird time for video games!

Needs more Lion's Roar.

That took me a while to get it! 🍻
