That's a bold move. Which majors are getting the axe?

I can absolutely see how Middle Eastern Studies and Russian are totally unrelated to what is happening in the world now (NOT)

Social Media and Disinformation are eating societies alive across the Western World but Digital Humanities is now an unneccessary major? U.S. JUST invaded Venenzuela and threatened to invade Cuba but Latin American studies is an unnecessary major? How are ANY of these major's NOT relevant today?

I should note that I have used DH and still do but I’ve not had a lot of success getting my students excited about it

We all know exactly why they are getting rid of German as a major. I have a degree in it - we were required to take a lot of history courses along with the language, and my instructors did not shy away from details.

These are all excellent majors for future leaders.

Russian? That’s WILD

Syracuse! How did that university get its name? Perhaps someone can study Classical Civilizations and find out. Oh the irony.

While all of those going is bad those last four seem... extremely relevant to the modern world for very obvious reasons.

The last five seem like they might be handy in the job market. 🤔
