If Russia can invite a foreign nation (N Korea) to kick Ukraine off its territory, why can’t Ukraine invite foreign nation to help kick out Russia?

I’ve been asking that same thing about how Republicans treat the Rule of Law as compared to Democrats for years! Democrats penalize Sex Offenders Republicans Elect them President! And the “News Media” ignores the Difference!

Absolute nonsense. 1) The US has already made it clear to Russia that if it uses *tactical* nukes against Ukraine then the response will be conventional, but devastating. 2) As for *strategic* nukes, the MAD principle has always and *still* applies (Mutually Assured Destruction).

OH..this would backfire at Kim Jong Un... He got a car from Putin and "regifted" thousand of young men to be drones targets.. One day this will bite him in the ass and I locking forward to see that!! Every N Korean captured in Ukraine is a testament on this.

Does it really need to escalate to WWIII? If Ukraine can handle it with NATO support, let them take their victory. Then they should start building nukes. America will betray them. America won’t be in NATO after 45 sits his fat ass down in the Oval. Day One. #boycott45 🇺🇸💜🇺🇸

The problem with your solution is that other countries dole out weapons like drips, others promise but don’t deliver after the ink dries on the news outlets. The are willing to do the fighting, but we should help them to settle it quickly.Look at what Syria finally accomplished. They kicked putin out.

I agree. I offer no solutions, just suggestions/opinion. We had every opportunity to do just that and did not. We provided some support; too little, too late. With 45 taking over, I don’t believe Ukraine will receive any more support from America. Just for today and until it does or doesn’t happen.

A good question the answer to which Putin will soon have to confront if the elites in Russia don't deal with him first. I don't know little about politics in Russia but leaders never seem to end up in a good spot. In the end, people do wise up. How many assassination attempts did Hitler face?

I'm just surprised Biden didn't already have boots on the ground -- god knows we've spent enough money, why not some blood? I'm not saying Russia should take Ukraine over. It's a shit show. Just like Washington & the incoming administration.

Unfortunately Ukraine doesn't have as strong partners than russia. Even the volunteers from any country do not have the approval of their governments (as far as I understand), or any assistance outside support given by volunteers.

I agree. And why can't those counties that pledged security for Ukraine in the Budapest Memorandum (USA & UK) be on Ukrainian soil? Russia signed it too; they already expect support from the USA & the UK. ...So, no surprises. We can assume service and service support roles in western Ukraine!

As a Brit, I'd like to see our Typhoons shooting down Russian aircraft in Ukrainian airspace. I can't see any of them surviving against Meteor and ASRAAM missiles. And BriteCloud decoys would make the Typhoons very hard to shoot down. If the US threw in some F-22s and Growlers all the better still.

French Rafales and Swedish Gripens also carry Meteor missiles. The Gripens also carry BriteCloud decoys, as well as IRIS-T missiles, which I've read can shoot down air-to-air missiles (AAMs) and surface-to-air missiles (SAMs).

You're right, but it's splitting hairs imo. There's nothing stopping western countries from closing Ukrainian airspace, which Zelensky has been asking for from the get-go. It would be *very* easy for the west to deny Ukrainian airspace to Russia.

Oh they can, but we don't wanna fight. It's not even about nukes, Putin has a good life as is. That's why we won't let Ukraine join NATO now- we'd have to protect it. With the wuss Rump, it's even worse, even if he just sits watching, not to mention he's willing to take money to not react. It's bad

I didn't know there was a rule that said that they couldn't! As a matter of fact Great Britain and the United States of America promised them if they gave up their nuclear arsenal we would come to their defense. That was the deal! I know I'm not wrong about that.

Ukraine policy is front and center in a federal election Germany is holding on Feb. 23. All the parties that matter in that contest with an eye on nervous voters might answer your good question: "Sorry. We're not going there. Have a good day!"

I really hate it for the Ukrainians because of the losses they are taking but maybe its better to let Russia bleed out… I can’t believe I just wrote that people are suffering because of one man’s actions Now I ask myself what is tRump capable of This guy only has 1/3 the brain power of Putin

My young Russian friends told me like this. It's bad that relations between the United States and Russia are also freezing now. By the way, many young people in his country want to leave for other countries because of politics, just in case, even he is learning other languages...

100%, Adam. Remember Belarus? Same line: if they joined, NATO would act. Yet here we are—Putin targets civilians, and NATO hesitates. Biden’s approach? Just enough aid to stall Russia, never enough to win decisively. It’s infuriating and shamefully slow.

Your question is too logical. I've long since lost any faith in the west being logical (or consistent) in what it does. If it were up to me, I'd make the skies over Ukraine too dangerous for Russian aircraft to fly in, and systematically take out Russian air defence & artillery systems.

With no air power in Ukrainian airspace and no air defence systems, it would be easy to wipe out Russian tanks, IFVs, APCs, logistics trains & trucks, logistics bridges, gun artillery and rocket artillery. Next stop: Crimea. And kick the Russians out.
