What if former Sec Def Lloyd J. Austin made this kind of irresponsible, possible fatal error in judgement? Would they still look the other way? Hypocrites!!!!

Unfortunately, the entire regime appears to be getting away with a massive amount of illegal activity. They figure no one will stop them. This is going to take more than a congressional hearing. How about a serious investigation & lock these traitors up.

You’re funny. 😄 kinda the point. If you think about it and you have to physically add someone to chat then why was this particular journalist personal number in his private phone. If the journalist is so bad why would he be listed as a contact ? Just a question.

Then that person will deserve a medal of honor and freedom. This TREASON won't stand! Sorry but you don't sneak into a text stream, you have to be ADDED! Thier miserable LIES & EXCUSES aren't going to work here! I guess common sense isn't very common w/ these IDIOT'S! 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🙉🙊🙈 😖 thoughts?

It is beyond ludicrous that they are blaming Goldberg for this, but of course, the base is eating this up. I hate this upside down world where the most powerful people are exempt from every law and standard that the rest of us have to live by.

Or, maybe a National Security Advisor worth his title would double check his “cc” list before hitting “send” to make sure he hadn’t made a fat-thumbed error?

Exactly. Interesting how a journalist knew the exact time multiple high ranking government officials would be on an unsecured chat for a surprise attack on a foreign country. Not one enemy would consider monitoring for that . Why have secure rooms and devices!

That 1st fact is what proves the info was classified and probably Secret or Top Secret. Heck if it was fluffy unclassified , we all would seen the messages on Social Media like they handle business through posts. I argued with someone 2 weeks ago that this Admin needs to cease business on Soc Media

1 correction: "Sneak into an *illegal* Signal chat" Signal, the encrypted messaging platform that the officials were using, is a commercial app that is not approved for classified information

2. Correction: "*Inadvertently invited* to an *illegal* Signal chat" Signal is widely considered one of the most secure messaging apps on the market. It uses advanced end-to-end encryption, collects minimal metadata, and doesn't sell your data.

They are skirting the law Violation Records Act Records are required for archives period non-negotiable Law requires classified channels be used for these communications (not an open source, public, free, encrypted chat app (already hacked by Russia and China)) Period Non-negotiable

I would just assume I was invited- I mean this was a Top Secret conversation- OF COURSE you can't just "sneak in"- THAT is what I would assume. Assume MAGA Hegseth & Ratcliffe & Gabbard ARE competent & did this on purpose. Give them the benefit of the doubt.😉 #CNN #MSNBC

"My son, Barron, could have avoided this. He's very tall and handsome! Once, I saw him turn on a laptop! He even knows Ticky Tocky and FaceSpace! He has smart genes! Very tall, too. Very tall young man..."

Who else may have "snuck onto" the chat? Especially considering one of the chat-ees was in Russia at the time? Fire them all, arrest and jail! They were warned not to use Signal.

Indeed. I didn't listen to the whole hearing, but it seems the fact that they were using Signal is much more damning than accidentally adding a reporter. As John Bolton said on NPR, why did not even one of the 17 people included ask what the hell they were doing discussing this stuff on Signal.

Their phones should have already been confiscated and analyzed.... Not that it may not already be too late. If you had clever enough spyware on there it might have deleted itself after cleaning up.

People on twitter are such dummies. By and large the most comments say that if he indeed witnessed classified material being shared, that he should post it for proof! I just cannot understand the level of ignorance it takes to put forth comments such as that. Another section says he hacked in!

I haven't used Signal a lot, but I have used it some. The average person can't sneak in. You need to be invited into the chat with a phone number or email. I get that a Russian Op in their country can "see" everything that's on an unsecured device, but how does anyone else "sneak" into a chat?

It's a shame no #Democrat in hearings re: Signal Chat saw smart follow-up question for our ?security leaders? about their "everything turned out alright" responses. I don't expect politicians do real-time critical thinking, but someone on staff who can provide recommendations in real-time is needed

Are the people before Congress now testify under oath with threat of perjury and jail time if they do commit perjury? Because I’ve heard a lot of perjury today. And to make it worse, really really stupid perjury
