Can’t exactly say that my Democratic representatives have exactly been having town halls either. Then again, our elected officials not hosting town halls regardless of party seems to be the norm. And when they do, they’re in the middle of the work day, when people have to, you know, work.

Mine has done one telephone town hall. To her credit, her staff answers her office phones. Schiff’s and Padilla’s phones go straight to voicemail. But prior to the last Census, I was in Brad Sherman’s district and he is just awesome.

That’s a trick they’re using now. My district rep has done this. You sign up ahead of time but they don’t send the number ahead of time. Then as the “town hall” is about to begin, you get these phone calls from a number your phone doesn’t recognize and you”re lucky if you read the voicemail on time.
