He’s going to have to incur US casualties in order to harden his support for the war amongst his base. The more casualties, the more a lot of people in the US will want to “see it through” so they weren’t killed for nothing. They will go hard after any Dem that tries to end it

Sorry , America cannot 'win the war' at any cost. America couldn't take control of Afghanistan which was smaller, smaller military, less weaponry, less organisation. And Afghanistan can't control the world's economy. It's this US mentality which is the problem. US doesn't understamd geopolitics.

Congress did not approve this illegal, unconstitutional war. And it's frustrating how many people seem to accept it.

What would a win even look like? Seriously, the only outcome from this war I see that Netenyahu and republicans can cancel elections and launder money to their buddies that are just now entering the military industry. Only people benefitting from this war are Putin, republicans, and Oil industry

This is and probably always will be a two-party system. Although I'm a Democrat, I think the country realizes there's still a few decent Republicans out there. If you were to jump back into the ring and help steer your party in the right direction, we'd probably be better off. 🤷‍♀️

I don't think it's likely to win a war with "loyalists" in charge. It takes true professionals and scholars to be truly effective and efficient. People who will stand up for their professional assessments force valueable conversion, and we just don't have that right now.

Valid points but I am really not convinced that the majority of the Iranian people are on the US side. Iranians know their history. Also, they have seen how the US routinely abandons allies and breaks promises, as in their neighbor Afghanistan. Then there's Gaza.

The USA can't win the war in Iran. It's too big, with too many people, and it's pissed off the entire population after the first day, when is an impressive feat of incompetence, even for the yanky barbarians. The USA has fought many wars, it rarely wins them. Personally I blame the Exceptionalism.
