Heads need to roll for this. Cabinet ministers can't just lie to the public like this. #Spéirgorm
Throughout the entire Fare Hike saga, Government maintained this was a decision by the NTA We now know it was the Dept of Public Expenditure & it was decided 12 months ago Government lied to to the public, the did it repeatedly, & they did it intentionally

Why is this government obsessed with penny pinching while in the same breath telling us we're loaded? #SpéirGorm #IrishPolitics

I assume everyone who wrote about the hospital bike shed in their columns and talked about the hospital bike shed on their radio shows and tweeted about the hospital bike shed on their Nazi owned micro blogging app are very excited to discuss this

Hi @micheal-martin.bsky.social - would you mind explaining why you think it's OK for adults to touch children without their consent? It's pretty urgent, so a prompt reply would be appreciated. Thank you.
The Taoiseach is now backing the Justice Minister's actions in intervening to silence a charity. I'm not exaggerating. The Justice minister boasted about his role in pulling the ad himself. The government are intervening to silence messaging they don't like. Fascism is at your doorstep #spéirgorm

Had this idea in lockdown, half-built it, forgot about it, remembered it again, though might as well finish it.

As an aside I see another driver has crashed into a level crossing today.
Assistant Garda Commissioner Denis Ferry said "all pedestrians" including in urban areas should wear high visibility clothing. "I think you should do everything you can to ensure you're visible," he said. www.thejournal.ie/driving-phon...

I would like some energetic comedian to follow the Minister around and every time he is on a footpath hand him a high viz vest. Had he stepped out of his ministerial car? hand him a yellow vest. Going from suburban house to suburban house on the campaign trail? High viz time. #spéirghorm

Out of touch, car-centric victim-blaming nonsense. It's attitudes like this at the top that's the cause of rising road deaths and serious injuries.

Minister Canney’s approach to road safety has failed, and now it appears that reform of the RSA is on the cards He never should have scrapped the reform in the first place
The minister responsible for road safety has said there is no acceptable form of phone usage for drivers and drivers should put their phone in the glove box. Asked whether it was acceptable to use Google Maps, the minister did not give a clear answer. www.thejournal.ie/driving-phon...

This is ridiculous, guys. The people who are collecting their money at the GPO should simply be made to wear sandwich boards advertising the latest deals in Arnotts whilst they’re queuing. It’s not rocket science, guys.
Maybe people shouldn't be able to collect social welfare at the GPO, Arnotts lobbies. The company behind the Henry Street department store raised the idea with the man in charge of the regeneration of the city centre, returns show.
I'm guessing kill the poors wasn't an option on the survey so they had to settle for this absolutely outrageous suggestion

Minister for Higher and Further Education James Lawless has said the demand from Irish universities for €250 million to bridge a core funding gap is "significantly in excess" of the previously agreed figure.
Reminds me of the (probably made up) during the GFA negotiations when Adans and McGuinness said to Bertie they'd need to go back and discuss with the army council to which Bertie replies 'sure there's a mirror in the jacks why don't you go in and ask them now'

Interviewing a govt minister Hazarika shows a graph comparing young people claiming PIP to the size of our armed forces & declares it "tells a story about modern Britain" I can't even make a sarcastic comment about our fearless fourth estate, because Hazarika is a Labour politician
