I did when serving and would now as well. It really felt right to refuse a direct order that would have jeopardized my health. And they knew I was in the right bc there wasn’t any blowback to my career. BUT-you’re always weighing that risk.

The sad fact is, as a veteran of the Army (75-87), we were not allowed to talk with any outside source (reporters, news, haters, protesters, etc). We could get into serious UCMJ trouble and if those pressed soldiers for comment, we were instructed to send them to the Public Affairs Office (PAO).
