Not exactly losing either. This new form of warfare does not have conventional front lines so the territory gained and lost by small units on either side is mostly happening within cities. Russia has had some success slowly building forces inside these fortress towns. It's not looking good.

I think the average casualty in russian army is around 40.

They aren't winning, but this current administration is sure making it hard for Ukraine to succeed and force peace.
