Future us will look back and realise that the countries who figure out how to manage and use immigration for our benefit are the ones which did the best.

Dan Sohege@danielsohege.bsky.social

I've felt many things as a "pro-immigration fanatic". Anger at the hate, division and bs spread by likes of the Telegraph mainly, but never "humiliation". The evidence is clear, and global, people move, people have always moved, people will always move, and that is an overwhelmingly positive thing.

Why don't British politicians see what Lula just did - he persuaded folks that his leadership was heading the right way. Try actually *selling* your ideas rather than just swerving to avoid having to talk about them.

Will Jennings📉🗳️@drjennings.bsky.social

The Red Wall is a myth, a spook story that British politicians must worship at the altar of: do what I tell you or the Red Wall will get you. It is made up. It has long since lost contact with its original definition. It encourages people to confuse places and people. It is past its sell by date.

There is an obvious and urgent need to restrict this power. Just limit to 5 pardons per term of office and require the pardon document to specify the offence and date of conviction.

The EU Single Market is one of the greatest achievements of mankind and, having helped to create it, Britain should be part of it.

"I think the majority of people in Britain know that leaving the EU was a mistake" Chair of the Foreign Affairs Select Comittee, Dame Emily Thornberry MP, says she wants the next Labour manifesto to include rejoining the EU, but "we need to discuss" if it should also call for freedom of movement

Hours after Israeli terrorist settlers nearly beat an American journalist to death, the US State Department posts a Based photo of Marco Rubio, saying “America First. Always.”

It is an absurd situation where the combined forces of the media has somehow convinced the ruling class that FoM is something to fear.

This a million times. People of colour being dragged on to debate maniacs about imaginary labels & race science is an abomination. proper ‘how German are you’ Nazi shit Note that people like me with white migrant parentage never asked to defend our identity Englishness. Is. A. Made. Up. Thing

Sathnam Sanghera@sathnam.bsky.social

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

Hey folks. In total honesty my tour is NOT selling well. I’ve sold 30 tickets in a 400 seater in Birmingham, and not much more elsewhere. If you like musical comedy, if you like standup, then please come see my show! And spread the word! The Rachel Parris Songbook tour starts in Nov! Link in bio! 🎶

Maybe the mysterious blokes arrested near RAF Fairford were actually undercover estate agents?

Giles Wilkes@gilesyb.bsky.social

The Conservatives are saying that no one will feel any safer without the B1s flying from Fairford. Maybe - but things for local residents sure will feel quieter...

I worked bars as a student and it was only because we had to walk around rather than stand in one place that I could stand it. I was sub-21. A ghastly and ridiculous policy.

TSA says it is removing chairs at document checks in airports, requiring staff to stand for their shift. TSA explained the reason as twofold: to ensure its employees meet its fitness standards and to create an amiable environment for travelers.

Everyone's beaten down by the lying and cheating, and by the sense of general misery associated with this frankly awful administration.

After the Kennedy Center board voted to place President Trump’s name on the building in December 2025, gifts to the arts institution plunged 42% and donation pledges dropped more than 100% from January to April compared to the three months prior, one document revealed. https://cnn.it/4AFGYoh

NEW As Govt prepares to free thousands of prisoners early I’ve discovered over 4,000 prison places are unused - due to damage, safety concerns or delayed repairs.. ...and in 28 jails capacity has been set at LESS than usable places - staff shortages a factor: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/09...

Britain has an effectiveness problem. Any long term fix needs to start with the absolute basics of education, civic pride and social responsibility. We need to understand what quality means. We waste so much time and opportunity on self indulgence rather than productivity.

Neoliberals want to end the triple-lock on state pension They inflict low wages, consign millions to poverty. Govt spending on state pension as % of GDP in G7 countries. Italy 12.8 France 12 Germany 9.8 Japan 8.9 USA 6.6 Canada 4.7 UK 4.7 UK has one of the least generous pensions in the G7.

But that would mean that the other guys get to destroy humanity first..
