Looking at decomp.dev and readonlymemo seems to paint a picture that's less bleak than I thought it was? It looks like decomps are still going well, recomps are going ok, and there's just a rainstorm of morons on the outskirts? Also is this something I should look into participating in, seems neat

pretty much yeah the SM64DS AI decomp has been a meme for like a month now, it's mostly drive-by decomps that get a quick hit and never make a readable repo we're having to work on an actual policy/rule for decomp.dev to delist entries bc there are enough of them and anyone can add theirs rn

The people using AI in this space just feel like clout chasers that want "percentage number go up" more than understanding. Them being tolerated or even encouraged in the community spaces is why I left.
