Really making a hell of a lot of progress on Meter for those who are watching. There'll be a new video by the end of the month, as there's lots to explain. In the newest release I wrote out in detail exactly what's happening, and I'm enthralled by how it's doing a better and better job as Meter.

Probably no point mentioning it to those who know me but… it's not good CODE per se. Absolutely no AI 'helping' this. What I'm doing isn't in the AI weights. It's outside the edges of common knowledge and I'm chasing reality not represented in common knowledge: when it works, it really works.

It'd all go away if I asked AI 'I dunno, what do you think?' and is largely the product of me having a fierce intention and sticking to that for years on end. Do as I do. Want and mean stuff, and put in the work yourself so you can get a feel for where it's going, and stick with it. You can do this.

I have used Meter on the last two songs I released, and I think it has helped in refining the masters of the songs. Great job! Don't know if I'll ever pull off an AAAA rating, but the last one was Afbb. Sounded very good.

Interesting thing about that, I revised those letter scores AGAIN and it's now more likely you'll get your AAAA if you want it, because formerly that was kinda too intense to be reasonable. Right now Nowhere Man and Rocky Raccoon get AAAB, Born On The Bayou AaAA, Hungry Heart AaaA…

Gimme All Your Lovin' AAAc, You Shook Me All Night Long ACAa, Day Tripper AAaC… I'm assuming you want to be on the hot side of A rating. Tom Petty Even the Losers is Aaae, Refugee is Aaac. Walk This Way is Aace. Meter should help stuff sound good.

First A is tonal balance, second A would be 'orchestration and fullness', third very much how loud stuff seems, fourth how much air and detail there is. So you can push any aspect too far if you like, or lean on some that you prefer to have :)
