his constipated voice is unbearable

i think he's good at appreciating the game

Given a choice between him and Garrett, I'll gladly take Collinsworth's thirsty love over some quarterbacks versus Garrett's "analysis."

Hey, it’s fair, clearly he’s been doing it forever! What do I know.

Haha, I’m so mad there are 50+ likes on this. He has ruined SNF for me.

I'm just glad social media didn't exist for the Madden/Summerall era. The Internet would have driven them both into exile.

Aaron Rodgers is also one of the best to ever do his job. Not sure we’re exactly witnessing greatness from him tonight either

The universal truth I’m learning is that you’re a color guy and people *DON’T* hate you, then you’re probably not good. Gary Danielson was one of the best to ever do it and people despised him with no solid basis.

I think Steelers fans don’t like him because he played for the bengals.

he at least comes into every game sounding like he wants to be here, even if he says dumb wrong shit sometimes

Counterpoint: my wife can't stand his voice, so he's bad.

“The Steelers need to get back to playing Steelers’ football.” Ok, thanks?

my guess is his bosses made him do that but it's not a bad athletic point to make

He hates Caleb Williams

Now Tirico I could do without

That not wrong but he still sucks. His commentary consists of ass kissing after a good play. Thats it.

I like listening to people who enjoy the job and can speak well on what’s happening.

People can’t understand when things aren’t catered to them. He’s great at making your mom feel like she knows what’s going on, which is the job

Probably one of the best color commentators for the NFL if we’re being real. That’s not always the highest bar to clear but

He's always felt like the exact middle of color guys to me. Not good, not bad, just there. Bland but inoffensive wallpaper. (My hot take is that moving to ESPN led to an immediate and massive improvement for Buck and Aikman for whatever reason )

As a viewer, I appreciate how much he clearly loves and gets excited about football. He genuinely enjoys it. It may seem obvious, but there’s a ton of cranks out there, in all sports, with microphones who love to complain about how the game today is worse than it was. Collinsworth doesn’t do that.

he does seem sufficiently mortified that he said those words into a microphone at least. but i will never look at him the same ever again

I don’t mind him anymore since there are commentators like Brady, Vilma and Herbstreit who are far more insufferable and bad at their jobs

He’s insufferable

It's not. But he does have a bad habit of blaming very obvious mistakes by star quarterbacks on somebody, anybody else.

He's not Troy Aikman and therefore he is not the worst one doing it today at least.
