it is a really bad sign that people are using a concept from a book about how opposition to machine slavery produced an ironic world of brutal feudalism, human cattle breeding, and mass human misery as a metonym for their sociological aspirations.

unfortunately, you have fallen for the trap of treating the social discussion about the entire book and not just ”they gave up their thinking to a machine” Like if someone only used the bell riots to discuss star trek
