NEW: DSA's National Political Committee passed two resolutions today aimed at Los Angeles mayoral candidate Nithya Raman, beginning processes that could result in DSA-LA being forced to rescind its endorsement of her this weekend and/or Raman herself being expelled from DSA by January.

A bottom up, local-based non hierarchical small-democratic organization unless a majority of an obscure 25 person national board doesn't like it and throws the decision out

The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.

Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States. "In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct." Report w/ new details: democrats-judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

I've kinda been saying for a couple weeks now that, for all the talk of 2006 being the benchmark for Dem performance here, the actual comparison point might end up being 2010.

Aubrey Gilleran@aubreygilleran.bsky.social

On a recent podcast, Jessica Taylor of Cook Political Report said that the combination of public and private polling she's seen, plus what she's hearing on the ground from Republican and Democratic, says a 2010-esque night (but for Republicans this time) is increasingly likely. Be still my heart.

Rare to catch one of them coming this close to admitting that they aren't excited about midterm victory because they know it will present a snag to their real goal (their faction's ideological takeover of the Democratic Party) if the Democratic Party wins big without them.

God, that Cenk Uygur ad for Abdul El-Sayed about how his opponent is for “they/them” (meaning Israel) (sorry I mean (((Israel))) ) is so gross in so many ways, both scarily antisemitic and transphobic, and I’m judging everyone involved

Throw in the nephew and we got a deal. That dude is like Jill Stein. Some toxic entity that appears every election and contaminates any viable candidate and makes Democrats lose.

It’s just so appalling and enraging how casual and commonplace this has become. I’m out of words.

this is why I now want Trump to survive past his term. I WANT HIM TO SEE EVERYTHING HE BUILT BE DESTROYED WHILE EVERYONE CHEERS. I want the pedo rapist to know his legacy is one of incompetence and failure. That he'll be remembered for being one of the worst presidents ever that most people hated

Not caring about local races can lead to absolute disaster. North Carolina wouldn’t be what it is if we hadn’t lost the state Supreme Court. Losing that meant losses of at least 3 House Seats, the difference of the majority in 2024.

Elections, trends, and underfunded state parties can lead to party instability and loss of political power projection for well over a decade. Look no further than Wisconsin and Missouri which could well have political strength on the state level they havent had since the pre-Obama era

Another brand new edition of the State Legislative Election Watch is out now covering November's elections in Colorado, Missouri, & Wisconsin! Can the Democrats break/form supermajorities and flip the Wisconsin legislature at the same time? Find out below! uncrewed.substack.com/p/state-legi...

Color revolution theory is great because it isn’t actually meant to give you a strategy as much as an alibi for why you got your ass kicked These guys destroyed the NED/USAID/CIA deep state they feared and are still getting their asses beat, so dammit do they need to rationalize and shift blame

Even less with McMorrow. She, of the three, comes across most as 'generic D' and in 2026 in MI that's good for a 10 point win.

People keep yelling at me when I say El-Sayed will underperform by 5-10 points. It's the same R Senate candidate as '24. So that's not it Some say the underperformance is Islamophobia but I think he's just a weak candidate.

No, they lost because they did not ascribe to my exact policy positions! That's why I will continue working to elect Republicans until they do ascribe to my policy positions which I am increasingly losing track of while constantly working to elect Republicans.

It's a real problem that so many people anywhere left of center in this country think that the path to victory for them lies in electing Republicans until Democrats do exactly what they tell them to.
