Introducing marque.at, a domain registrar built on the AT Protocol, made by the creators of @margin.at Check it out: marque.at

What is the value of using atproto for a registrar? Besides automatically verifying handles and login.

You can edit your nameservers using the at.marque.domain records Or edit your DNS using the at.marque.dns records Which allows for creating custom frontends, and implement Marque in other apps

Clever! Doesn't that make all your records discoverable by the public though? DNS transfer (AXFR) is typically blocked, AFAIK

Your DNS is always public, unless you use Cloudflare, which proxies with their own ip

and even then they are still public, just the ip is hidden

Correct me if I'm wrong... The records are, if you know what you're fetching, but not the entire collection. So, if I know that you have `dev.example.com`, can query for it. But, I won't know that you have `dev` unless I ask for it. Right? I've seen people abuse resolver cache - but still

Is there a practical reason for that? A ton of things you do with domain names expose them anyway. e.g. getting a https cert.
