Outer Wilds is the single greatest piece of art I have ever experienced in any storytelling medium. I once cried for 13 minutes straight trying to communicate why I feel that strongly about it, and why playing it makes you a better human being. youtu.be/YfqynfM4zDg?...

I spent my first many hours crashing into planets and dying, so I didn't even realise there was a loop for ages. I just thought I was dying and everything was resetting, as per usual for a video game.

My hopes and dreams when playing:

Back in 2015, a video by a Youtuber called Nerdcubed showed off this innovative little demo that scared the piss out of me...

My journey was basically a series of these, increasing in intensity and topped off by a quick succession of existential dread, melancholy and tear-eyed hope.
