The third MD author <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quentin_Van_Meter> _is_ a pediatric endocrinologist, but he's been an anti-gender-affirming care crank for a while. Member of the other pediatrician professional association--the conservative one that takes all the worst health care positions.
