"Plate" was my "1" years ago. When words started repeating (the one I remember was "kayak"), I quit. Bravo for today's word and for the persistence

My starting word used to be stein. One day I changed it to tines, figuring that was a more common word. Guess what was the word of the day a couple of days later? Go on, guess.

Holy cats, that was a helluva first guess! Took me 5 guesses.

My "trick" is to pick a starting word that hasn't been the answer yet and stick with it until it is the answer 🤣

No I guess a different word every time! I mean, I have been playing on and off for years so I definitely have repeated like a word or two but definitely with like months in between the guesses
