RADDATZ: You talked about Democrats who have been targeted. Trump said nothing about the political violence against Democrats. In fact, he blamed the radical left. What's your reaction to that? SPENCER COX: Well look, President Trump is very angry.

Trump ordered Kirk's killing to as Trump perceived Kirk turning on him when it came to releasing the Epstein/ Trump files. Kirk is an example of how when you no longer do their bidding like in Russia death comes upon you.

Recent evidence in September 2025, following the assassination of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, highlights attempts by far-right figures to frame leftists and Antifa for the crime. The alleged perpetrator,

Tyler Robinson, was reportedly affiliated with the Groyper movement, led by white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Inscriptions on bullet casings found at the scene, including anti-fascist slogans, were used to muddy the waters and falsely implicate the left.

It still amazes me why folks that voted for this are mad, upset, and outraged. Your guy won, they are in power and have the majority. They are all upset because their dear leader is being exposed for the pedophile that he is. Normal people would drop him like yesterday’s garbage. It’s a death cult.

Know who else is angry?? the family and friends of Melissa Hortman and John Hoffman. The families and friends of Paul and Nancy Pelosi. The families and friends of the police officers attacked beaten and injured Jan 6. Stop the BS and call it as it is..Trump incites violence

And? Last time I checked, he’s the POTUS, not a snobby soccer dad mad about his kid on the field You run an entire country. If you’re unable to control your emotions to the point where you’re blaming, without evidence, ~40% of the country, you shouldn’t have the job This is considered “unifying”?

Spencer Cox’s inability to call out someone, (President), for inciting further violence is the problem. He’s angry? Get in line. This demonizes the left again when the right incited violence. I’m a constituent in this state. I’m a veteran. I’ve written both Cox and Lee. Crickets. Cox can do better.

I don’t GIVE A FUCK if #DomesticTerrorists are mad! I’m fucking mad they get air time!!!! One of their own killed one of their own and that is the truth! Their hateful white supremacist Nazi propagandists and their rhetoric are to blame for this, INCLUDING CHARLIE KIRK!

Thanks for the preview - I won’t see this on west coast til much later. I’m really trying to get how Spencer Cox is such a “voice of reason” if he thinks for a second 47 is not fueling more violence

He just gave Trump the greenlight to blame the ‘radical left’ by stating that Trump is angry. Nothing about him toning down the rhetoric now. He seems relieved that the shooter lives with a transitioning roommate.

I've seen countless videos of MAGA cult members suggesting that they are coming for us, and Trump is as silent on this as he was when they attacked the US Capitol.

When you have an extraordinary low emotional iq, you run on pure emotion and little logic. Logic would have to wait, get facts, unite a torn and broken nation while condemning violence. But the US president and sycophants did the opposite of logical. I used to forgive. It’s getting harder.

MAGA politicians only concern is to give their base something to be angry about to disrupt and distract from all of the horrible things that they are doing to our country right now. They do not want to turn the temperature down, they want chaos.

Cox has received a lot of praise this week for his words after the Kirk murder, but this isn’t in keeping with what he claims to advocate. If “everyone needs to bring down the temperature”, that includes POTUS and his party needs to say so. Too bad we all know that will not happen.

* Trump does not care or need to explain anything, which is the classic archetype of a tyrannical ruler who exercises power through fear & paranoia rather than reason or accountability. It is pointless to expect logic reasoning from Trump or his Fox News appointees administration *

Trump isn’t angry.. he’s pumped by this.. trump lives in tv land and has never felt empathy..he’s already moved on to ballroom discussion with reporters.. Cox received his marching orders and is now carrying the torch on this killing.. blame the left specifically the gay community

Does Gov Cox really believe what he is saying? Or is he just lying? Donald Trump is not angry that Charlie Kirk was killed, nor sad. Donald Trump could not pick him out of a line up. Donald Trump is thrilled that he can exploit Kirk's death for his political gain. Just as he did the Butler incident.

"Does Gov Cox really believe what he is saying?" I've met and spoken with Cox several times, both when he was our Lt. Gov and now as Gov. I don't think he does, but he's too afraid of his own party to say anything different. He told the Utah GOP he thinks they hate him for not hating enough.

Ya. He’s inconsolable right now bsky.app/profile/atru...

Q: My condolences on the loss of your friend Charlie Kirk. How are you holding up? TRUMP: I think very good. And by the way, right there you see all the trucks. They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years.

So the president has no command of his emotions, to the extent that he instantaneously accused a substantial segment of the electorate of perpetuating the crime of murder That is not a reasonable or acceptable justification.

I have many questions about this "interview" - - blaming social media is convenient and with some merit, though why does he skip over the content being spread and consumed? - what evidence is there that supports his claim that it was "leftist" ideology that "radicalized" him?

- why isn't Gov. Cox challenged on the content of the president and others, especially when he sweeps it under the rug by saying only "the dark corners of the Internet" misunderstood Kirk? - can we hear the substance of his words through the genteel masking of his presentation...

...he seems to have an artful way of saying the same harmful things as many of his party's more crass members (the aggressor was a leftist, the victim's character and actions were laudable, the fault isn't anywhere near the Right and politicians aren't responsible).

Cox is strategizing because he wants to run for President in 2028! Look Trump is Constitutionally term limited, so he ain't running, and the base isn't a fan of Vance!

They are alreading mentioning some trans room mate the shooter knows. Has nothing to do with the shooting they are just trying to find a way to pin it on anyone but a white christian male.

So angry that he had to increase the size of his ballroom. Hey! Did you hear he was building a ballroom? He’s very excited about it, almost so excited that he’s completely forgotten that he’s supposed to be mourning a very close friend

The teachers, professors, and other folks Charlie Kirk targeted for years were angry, too. They're being doxxed, harassed, and fired, often for just repeating Charlie Kirk's own words. Why is it OK for POTUS? Or Fox hosts? Or Congresspeople? Or literally any right-wing asshole?

They really are this stupid and hateful. They could care less about owning the violence they have incited. They will continue to stoke the flames and get their followers to hurt more people. Violence is just a tool for republicans.

Before anyone lionizes Spencer Cox, just listen to him here stoke anger and division. True leaders don’t do this, so he fits right in with so many others who feel they have to appease the POS, serial sexual abuser who some consider a legitimate president.

Woo boy, Mr. Cox. Mr. dump, you don't even know "angry." You don't know how horrible you are & how much you are rejected. Yet, we control these very justified responses to your inhumanity. You, OTOH, make up your victimhood and act on your violent impulses time after time. You don't know angry.

Oh he’s “very angry.” Poor little thing. Jesus Christ I’m so sick of treating this grown ass man like a damn child. The bar with this guy is sub terrestrial, it’s shameful and pathetic

Utah Republican Spencer Cox is so owned by FELON/Sexual Predator Trump. Cox preached Friday for calm but is OK with Trump calling for the "left" to be beaten because he's "angry." So spineless. Such a hypocrite. Such a coward.

1/2 "his ideology was very different than his family [...] We can confirm that that roommate is a boyfriend who is transitioning from male to female" The gender ideology of a *witness* is irrelevant, but MAGA is on a crusade to pin any and all violence on trans people. www.ksl.com/article/5137...

2/2 Further in the interview Cox claims there is "leftist ideology", presumably because of his "trans boyfriend". Despite MAGA best efforts, being trans is not 100% "leftist": "10% identify as a Republican compared to almost one-third (31%) of non-trans adults" www.kff.org/other-health...

He was angry. So angry*... *that y'all didn't ask about the cement trucks and excavators working on his ballroom.

jamelle@jamellebouie.net

man they really didn't give a shit about that guy. as soon as it was clear they couldn't use his death to launch a purge they started to treat it like a nothingburger

Trump is always angry. His entire political career has been all about hate, division and going after who he sees as his enemies. He is an egoistical conman who always is looking for the next grift.

Yes, radicalized by the words and actions of the president. The act of not recognizing the killing of democrats and, dare i say children, creates a permission structure for this kind of violence. He can't bring himself to say that trump's words are a problem. Shame

I always thought one of the attributes of a public servant was the ability to set emotions aside and be guided by rational principles such as logic. But I guess that dates me; I apparently haven't kept up with the times.
