I would *LOVE* to not need to have strong opinions about a dozen US Senators or be able to name more SCOTUS justices than I can SCC ones. But the head of the US executive branch currently has very strong opinions about the continuing existence of my country, so

This right here. As much as we’re hearing that Democrats are going to aggressively investigate all the criminality, they need to skip the niceties of inviting [insert person] to testify before Congress and skip right to the subpoenas. No time to waste.

Micah@rincewind.run

I think they bitch and moan and scream about FRAUD and get laughed out of court and spend the next two years getting in increasingly dangerous spats with congress where they just flatly ignore oversight and budget stuff, aided and abetted by the Court I don't think Jan 3 ends with gunfire

Just wait until the decisions handed down by SCOTUS in the lead up to the 2028 election.

🚨BREAKING: In a loss for voters, the Supreme Court ruled to bar New Hampshire election officials from considering student IDs as evidence of identity when registering and voting during the midterms. The broader ban on automatically accepting student IDs as valid photo ID also remains in effect.

When a 1-term Senator from Georgia is leading the charge on this, you’re not an effective candidate for House majority leader.

As Canada awaits the Alberta separation referendum results, let’s remember how stupid this all is. Huge public money spent on a Russian & American-fuelled separation movement for an awfully-written and badly managed unbinding referendum on whether to hold a binding referendum that would be illegal.

Well, I can start by explaining to you that the first foreign leader to visit Trump in the White House in 2016 was nobody, because he wasn't president yet. The first meeting in 2017 with a foreign leader in the White House was not Lavrov, but the British PM. Lavrov visited five months later.

The only thing that doesn’t make this a Planned Economy is that he thinks this shit up on the fly.

Democrats will not have the power to do what people who elect them want them to do, because the Supreme Court has given the the president power to commit crimes and get away with it. I sense a blue wave and blue disappointment. But Dems can block Supreme Court appointments if we take the Senate.
