Talked to a Somali man today who said his mosque last night was surrounded by neighbors ready to protect them against ICE if needed. Made me feel proud to live in this city.

Did you see Will Stancil's skeet on how many radio channels he and his fellow legal observers have set up? Around 15. Each with around 1500 people on it. All of them passing the word, ready to go where needed. That's why ICE has been all but run out of South Minneapolis.

I’m guessing one of the reasons the ICE J-6ers pussies won’t set foot in red cities is because they’re afraid of lots of people with guns. I have read that while they are in fact there they keep a low profile in those places.

This is how we take care of one another. I’ve met quite a few Somalians in my life, every one of whom was genuine and kind. The racial profiling must stop. The most dangerous race today is my own, the white race, a part of which is now masquerading as armed federal agents who are killing at will.

We went & stood post around a mosque in Seattle post- 9/11. Then a Muslim community leader visited our Lutheran church for a service. Our church secretary worked part time for Honey-Baked Ham; our cong. president for Hood River Distilleries. Poor Jawad must’ve felt in the belly of the beast.

I'm in Canada. We have a mosque that was built not far from me. At the time there were a lot of bigots trying to stop it. I'm an atheist and think all religions should be abolished as they're immoral. I still fought to ensure the mosque could be built because THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO BUILD IT.

FWIW there is a local organization called Abrahamic Alliance that had been organizing solidarity marches around mosques and synagoges for about 5-6 years now. They also organize neighborhood feedings and blood drives. Really leaning into "love thy neighbor" no matter the religion.

My Unitarian Universalist Church has protected the Mosque across the street from us both now and during the post 9/11 events. And as we saw more ICE vehicles being shipped in I expect we are going to have more events to defend against.
