Obama on Jesse Jackson: "The message he sent to a 22 year old child of a single mother with a funny name, an outsider, was that maybe there wasn't any place, any room, where we didn't belong"

I just watched his eulogy. Barack truly is the greatest politician of his generation. It’s hard to fathom a country that voted for his presidency - also voted for his antithesis, Trump. The American people hold the key to the world greatest triumphs, but also its greatest tragedies.

I love that his words make sentences that, together, have meaning. How lovely to hear Pres Obama speak to Jesse Jackson’s legacy so eloquently.

After watching Senator Obama give his speech at the 2004 Democratic convention, my heart filled with joy. I had no doubt that, one day, he would be POTUS. After discussing my opinion with several close friends, American and French. The Americans disagreed. The French, absolument!

If there was ever a President since FDR that would have improved the lot of all Americans by à third term it’s this guy! We have fallen so far from where we were - trustworthy allies, more equal in opportunities, broader economic growth, and a leader that Americans could be truly proud of.

I could listen former Pres. Obama do a speech on just about anything, including how to make a PB&J sandwich. He is so gifted as a speaker!

What is sad and so frustrating is the silence from the White House on the passing of Jesse Jackson. Or did I miss Caroline's press release? That said Trump cares not for Humanity, and well Mr. Obama dose.

@barackobama.bsky.social Jesse is resting in peace knowing that despite not becoming a US president himself, he was a role model, beacon of light, a spark initiating your journey to becoming our most beloved president ever, twice. In these dark times, we need more beacons of light for our youth.

Pedophile cum in your face No God exists It’s worst trick laced. What they do is scapegoat magoo on jizz rag you. Don’t count the numbers up past 10, instead they rape, pillage, & straight-up pretend. We don’t want a president in-front of a torture device telling us his cult has great advice.

I'm sorry, I'm over the speeches. If he's not actively trying to take down this regime that's going to get a lot of us killed I'm not interested

I have a vivid memory of standing in the Ways & Means hearing room lizstening to Rev. Jackson speak - it must have been during that primary season - and reacting to him like "damn! I wanna vote for this guy!" even as a somewhat cynical Congressional staffer. He was that good.
