The Republican debate among candidates vying to face Jon Ossoff in Georgia devolved into Rep. Buddy Carter and Rep. Mike Collins exchanging accusations about who is the most ethically compromised

It's a little hilarious that here are two men who look almost identical, have the same accent, and who are both corrupt and self-dealing. It feels like it's one man talking to himself while having an existential crisis.

GOP hysteria over waste, fraud, abuse; over “lawfare”; over the swamp; it wasn’t just unfounded, it was unprincipled. They had no issue with underlying claims just that it was Democrats doing it. Any allegation about the GOP is ignored or discredited. This is the consequence. And it’s perverse.

Mike Collins is currently my congressman. He is afraid to meet with any constituent who may disagree with him. Haven't seen photo ops with anybody but white people either. How in the world does he think he can represent the entire state?

Were they trying to point out their strongest political assets or their political weaknesses at the time? With Republicans, being ethically compromised seems to get better campaign contributions. So I'm not sure "devolved" is the right term. Maybe "escalated"?

Is this what mutually assured destruction looks like in a sane world? How these two doing this pissing contest torpedoes both their chances of winning?
