I’m sure it’s been written by other people, likely far more eloquently than I’m going to state here, but if the Republicans win the midterms in November, the US may continue look the same on the surface, but it will no longer be a functioning democracy.

If the constitutional birth right was only meant for former slaves, the 2nd Amendment would also only apply to muskets and swords

“The Constitution is not a functional document if it can be gutted based on a handful of members of the nation’s highest court so eagerly deciding to abdicate their duties.”

You can thank every Republican in your life for this. We need to stop pretending that Republicans are our friends. I don't care who long you've known them or how much you think they're "good at heart", voting for a Republican right now is synonymous with voting for authoritarianism and racism.

It appears to me that Clarence Thomas is key to actively and directly architect this attempt to overthrow this Constitutional right alongside the GOP Congress. He must go. He is corrupt. He is anti-America. He is actively against our Constitution and its founding principles.

Apparently, at least three Justices think that some (many) people born in United States should not be subject to the jurisdiction of United States. Which, by definition, means they could not be prosecuted for any crimes. Uh. They didn't think that through?

Maybe NEXT time the vote in 7 swing states is close democrats will ***** and launch a gotdamn investigation the way trump did in 2020 #spoileralert #Wordle 1,838 3/6 ⬜🟨⬜🟨🟨 🟩⬜🟨⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Proving once again that “originalism”, as practiced by this court, just means “the authors of the Constitution believed whatever I currently believe.”

I hope this encourages people to learn more about the 14th Amendment. A good starting point is the excellent series on Netflix called ‘Amend, The Fight for America’. Watch it, it is worth your time.

The constitution is non-negotiable. SCOTUS should not be able to overturn the US constitution. It's literally the law of the land. If the congress wants to overturn the 14th amendment. Good luck. They'll never get 75% of the house, senate or states for ratification.

The SCOTUS oath has the standard language "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same" but four of them said nah, I do what I want. They should be impeached and disbarred.

They’ve already decided that all civil rights won over the last 60 years need reversing. The wrong side won WWII. Now the Civil War. Give it a few months and you’ll all be British again, I guess?

The message was that every right enshrined in the Constitution is currently up for grabs and hinges on nothing but the fanciful whim of a corrupt court.

Think of the power a future, and current, President would gain by being able to change Amendments with an executive order! It's absurd and they got within one vote.

I’d just like to point out that before the 14th Amendment, if you were white and born in this country, you were automatically a citizen. It was only formerly enslaved people who weren’t. That’s why the Amendment exists
