I'm a 'musician' (I'm also an artist as a job) and I'm not sure I've ever tried to learn from a video I just get people to tell me in person and try my best to just finish stuff. I also teach music and have had a lot of students who try to learn from videos and keep having to say just practice babe.

I've been in a musical rut for a while now, and nearly every time I went to find a tutorial on Youtube for ideas, I ended up spending more time watching 'tutorials' instead of actually remembering anything I learned The premise of the video alone though sounds promising!

It took me a whole year to find out the best way to make drum beats, and it was literally just a guy who made a book of common drum beats for free online. The closest equivalent I could find on YouTube were how to videos on making covers of specific songs.

I can't believe it leads off with the Jerma Layers of Fear baby spam trigger clip, ha ha ha. It's going to be HELL trying to explain "Free Shavacadoo" or whatever else is permanently lodged in our brains to future generations, isn't it?
