You say tense, I say a real journalist wasn't letting Trump get away with lying. Do better, @Axios.

That's quite a take... How about "Dementia ridden president yells lies at reporter before calling her names and storming off like a toddler"

The entire behavior pattern--threats, insults, aggression, running away--is a FEAR reaction. Trump is afraid--afraid of the truth, afraid of being exposed for his mendacity. It's all fight-&-flight fear behavior, his amygdala was totally in control there, no sign of pre-frontal cortex functionality.

Journalists failing to challenge him to preserve their access get a front row seat for his lies, but look incompetent for accepting them. Welker demanded evidence, and if he won't talk to her now at least she gets respect. The access stenographers just look like chumps.

Now imagine the full interview had proceeded as planned, that Trump didn't end it early, and Welker got to ask all her questions. Does any serious person think a full interview would have actually been more informative than this?

“Ended suddenly?” You mean when Trump threw his microphone on the floor in a fit of anger and stormed off like a 2 year old. As the pod people say, “play the tape.”

Tramp is a vile pathetic pos Journalists need to stand together to hold him to account and to STOP this completely unacceptable misogynistic behaviour

Axios “journalism” is such an exercise in semantics. Just plainly say the facts- Trump reacted like a gigantic toddler facing actual pushback for once in this term.

Like a true malignant narcissist. Attack the person asking questions. Then get up and walk out when you can’t take the heat. Or be able to answer without lying. He’s a grifter. He’s a pedo. He’s a misogynist POS. That’s all you need to learn about this interview.

#WELKER: Do you think anyone who attacked cops on J6 should get taxpayer money? #TRUMP: I wouldn't be inclined to say so, but I'd have to see. They had #FBI agents ushering them into the building W: There's NO evidence of that T: Try looking at the tapes. Many of those people should be compensated

“[Trump] abruptly ended a wide-ranging "Meet the Press" interview Sunday after defending potential payouts for people prosecuted over Jan. 6 and warning slow Iran talks could restart U.S. military action.” He ended it solely because Welker wouldn’t accept his claim elections were “rigged.”

"Ended suddenly" You mean he threw a fit and stomped away??? Tell it how it is my fucking god stop giving him a good look

Once again, Axios normalizes Trump. It's all about the framing. Trump LIED about the election being stolen. That's the story. Run with it. If you don't, you are idiots and not serious people!

This coverage is psychotic. He absolutely melted down on live TV and you're pretending it didn't happen? It's fine, actually, to report what happened. We have eyes!!

Stop sane washing him. This wasn’t ‘tense,’ he walked out after freaking the fuck out. What is WRONG WITH YOU? If Biden had done this it would be front page news for a week. He’s losing his marbles. In full view of EVERYONE.

So you say “tense” for when he lost his shit, repeated lies, and berated a journalist and “suddenly” for when he couldn’t handle pushback and stormed off set? For fuck’s sake, do your jobs and report the truth. Seriously. Or close shop. This is immoral and just really insulting to your readers.

"ended suddenly"? Try using the active voice in the headline and tell us who ended the interview suddenly. Telling us why would also be good, but in the headline I will settle for who.
