Bellingcat has further analysed videos of the shooting of Alex Pretti by federal agents. The footage shows an agent wearing a black beanie step behind Pretti. His right arm then appears to recoil at the same time the first shot is heard.

The movement seen in the agent’s arm when the first shot is heard in the footage is similar to the recoil seen in his arm in the next three shots, where he can be clearly seen firing.

As previously reported we did not find any evidence Pretti’s gun fired. CBS News has also reported that a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) review for Congress of the shooting states that Pretti’s gun wasn’t fired and confirmed two agents fired their guns. www.cbsnews.com/news/two-fed...

We also found that a federal agent was wearing a body cam that appeared to be pointing in the direction of Pretti when he was on the floor, as well as in the direction of the four first gunshots. DHS told Fox News that some of the agents' body cameras were recording at the time of the shooting.

I'd like to point out that this guy's exposed features look extremely similar (to me) to the agent who recently went viral for telling an observer "you raise your voice, I'll erase your voice". Can someone better at OSINT compare more thoroughly? Don't want to spread misinfo but it jumped out at me.

The agent who appeared to initiate the altercation with Pretti, and fires the fifth shot, can also be seen in footage wearing a bodycam.

Dr. Michael White, a professor in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University, emphasized the importance of body camera footage, for both to visually see what happened, but also for its audio, particularly in cases like Pretti’s shooting.

A video is circulating showing Petti's weapon discharging just as the officer is crouched down with it. According to the video, the weapon is aimed almost perpendicular to the ground at that moment. Based on the footage, an impact should be visible in the road surface.
