Foreign Affairs C'tee chair, @emilythornberry.bsky.social, gets to the absolute heart of the issue. "The only way to stop Iran from building a nuclear bomb is a deal. There cannot be a deal without negotiations and there cannot be negotiations without trust." ~AA

This bombing has done little impede Iran's nuclear ambitions & has made a future agreement nigh on impossible - if a future attempt is made to reinstate inspections by the IAEA, I very much doubt the Iranians would be willing to reveal where their installations are.

There was a deal. Iran took the money, bought centrifuges, and has hundreds of kilos of near-weapons grade U235. Thornberry delusional if she thinks there is a deal to prevent them building a bomb that the Islamofascists will adhere to without the threat of very bad consequences for breaking it.

So what would be enough for Iran to give up their desire/need for a bomb? The other deal was just to slow them down till something better came along. (this ain't it.) A robust, Palestinian state and ME peace signed all around, & economic assistance for all? If not, what are we negotiating?

There was a deal. As it was not his deal, Trump walked away and so trashed the deal. We should deplore Trumps actions, and support efforts to restart that deal.
