Tried biome in one of our projects, while it looks appealing at first glance, the reality was horrible. Never ever gonna use this again, and stick to the "old skool toolchain" eslint for a foreseeable future.

What went wrong? Please give us constructive criticism

There was a fundamental diff when formatting and linting. Especially import orders were never formatted but always complained about. We always used the most recent Version. This alone (diff fmt vs lint) was a total dealbreaker sorry

Biome can fully analyse the file, apply consistent formatting and linting. That's full support, from this point of view. Both sides of the same coin.

Can it format expressions inside a {#snippet}? Can it indent the inside of a {#if}...{/if} block? I'm eager to finally move away from eslint+prettier and benefit from compiled languages' speed, but I need sth that has actual full Svelte support :p

Adding Astro support solves my biggest issue with Biome. Thanks!

Actually, my issue was an inconsistency between Biome formatting in VS Code vs the CLI — for Astro files. Has that been resolved? (Note to self: check later.)
