Not controversial at all unless you are tRUMP cult.

Seems like a 2-1 blowout win isn’t that controversial. Do better with my subscription money.

“Controversial” out of necessity. But the state’s voters blasted this through in record numbers. No longer controversial. It’s a mandate.

Can we please stop shitting on the guy. He can be better but for now we need him.

Is it "controversial" when the same Republicans who applauded the gerrymandering in Texas whinge that Democrats weren't playing fair while convincing some gullible billionaire to throw 30M$ down the toilet. Did Trump, Abbott, Charles Munger and the GOP expect CA to lay back and think of England?

Newsom got this done in about 4 months. Credit to him and his team for getting this on the ballot quickly and not fucking around.

Preserving democracy super controversial these days i guess.

👏👏👏 Yes! Another win for Democracy in America! California's Prop 50 passes allowing redrawing congressional maps to cancel Texas' 5 seats it added. Blue states across America, this is your queue to follow suit! Save our Democracy and our country! 🗽

Right? And unlike Texas (and other red states), Cali gave voters the opportunity to decide

Was it controversial when it passed resoundingly 10 minutes after the polls closed?

Not that controversial given how many CA voters voted for it. It's a temporary measure to protect the greater democracy and was only because of Trumps efforts in TX.

Controversial only in the sense that it makes all the republicans who tried to steal seats in their states big mad that it was all for nothing.

Controversial? Fuck that, says the margin of victory...

It’s not controversial.

👏🥳👏🥳👏

Eh, @bloomberg.com try again with this headline. It’s the will of the state, for a limited time and then reset by an independent council. If anything this is the ONLY legit redrawing of a map in all the states that are currently underway… good god, I expect more from you.
