We can do so much better. Vote these people out of power

This breathtaking NYT story about Trump's Russian entanglements includes three people who've been part of the operation to cultivate Trump since 2015: Bryan Lanza, Sheikh Tahoon, and Kirill Dmitriev. This is literally the culmination of the original plan. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/03/u...

Trump is a mob boss who changed the deal terms at the last minute.

To be absolutely clear, the Democrats don’t just need to win in November. They need to defeat this Republican poison overwhelmingly. Anything less will convince these hateful thugs that their cause continues to be righteous.

Hard to overstate how angry Canadians are at Trump over these ridiculous tariffs. The United States has emitted the most carbon pollution in world history. It has caused these climate-driven wildfires. Oh and American air pollution routinely drifts into Canada. What utter bullshit.

A tale as old as time…

The next Democratic president will not inherit a normal slate. They will inherit a repair job that will take years to undo the worst damage Trump and the GOP have caused. Then Americans will get angry that the Dem has no magic wand ... and put the GOP back in power to screw things up again.

Hey Dana Bash, rather than asking Dems if their comments caused an assassination attempt, how about asking Republicans if their support for a sex offender, convicted felon, bigot, corrupt, hate-spewing president may have caused the attempt?

Kamlager-Dove: Stevie Wonder can even see how much this war is costing us. Prices have gone up, and this dude is wanting to spend $2 billion of your money every single day rather than help you. Fuck him.

Senate Republicans refused to convict Trump after Jan 6. Republican SCOTUS appointees gave him immunity. Republicans in Congress today stand idly by as he unleashes death and destruction across the globe. We are now at the whims of a mad king because GOP leaders have refused to constrain him.

According to WaPo, retirees receive 6x the federal dollars as young people. The wealthiest generation in history continues to steal from the most anxious/depressed. Our “Democracy” is old people voting themselves more money.

More than 3,100 "No Kings" demonstrations – about as many events as there are counties in the US – are expected in all fifty states, including an Alaskan city inside the Arctic Circle, fueled by a suburban groundswell of support. https://cnn.it/4uQBmVn

10/ All of this was totally foreseeable. Frankly, it’s why previous presidents weren’t so stupid to start a war like this. Trump has lost control of the war. His best course now is to cut his losses and end it. That’s the only way to prevent an even bigger disaster.

Donald Trump cannot be trusted to lead America into war. He is unaccountable to America. He is lawless. He only seeks conflict to cover up for his failures. Congress must step up, reassert its power, and represent the American people. We do not want another forever war.

Just saying, but when people are trying to do everything they can to prevent you from voting, that’s when you absolutely need to vote. Ready to make this the biggest midterm turnout in history?

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

Not a “paid protester.” Not an Antifa battalion commander. Not “bussed in from out of state.” A registered nurse at the VA who broke no laws and cared about humanity. Murdered by the Trump Administration.

The reality is that 2024 was a fundamental test of the moral character of the nation and we failed spectacularly. We’re living with the consequences now. Maybe we improve. I hope so.

I mean, someone in a position of real power needs to do something. The people of Minnesota are out in the streets doing amazing things at great personal risk. And people with actual power are doing fuck all for fear of getting yelled at by assholes in airports.

Congress can stop ICE. Congress can block the use of force in Greenland. In other words, in this crisis, Congress can act to support civil liberties at home and free nations abroad. To fail to act would be to be complicit in a dreadful outcome.
